my fren just changed said Michelin Sportec not bad. i think if on budget then go for dunlop gpr70.

 

my current rear is Metzeler...i find very good but is wearing out liao

 

size 160 tires try not to use if u using x-ring...the correct size should be 150.

er... it is the stretch directly oppsite TP HQ. the 1st shop of K&T lane is call First motor.

 

so see this First motor then go that lane and see the shop name plate yellow colour 1 is it liao.

hey i oso wanted to change shims..but cant find a reputable shop to do it yet. Ken did it at K&T i think around 100++.

 

anyway... 3 mechs i been to suggested not to waste $$ and do it coz they say the 'clack clack clack" sound from the engine top is normal??!?

 

really concern..wondering should do or not......but engine seems fine so far and pocket not alot of $$ these days...sighhh.....

 

BTW..where u intend to do it?? some ppl did it and engine noise is worse! so try to find a good mech....that wont chop u and do a lousy job.....that has been a factor putting me off this for awhile.

If only 3 person going, I'm OK with it. If we don't go, I'm also OK with it. Just went there last weekend.

hey guys...check this out! a nice RCV 211 bodykit conversion done to a VFR400!! and look at that Polini exhaust!! looks like none other on the market!! iz the same brand of exhuast Rossi used on his 500cc GP bike before!

hello TRUELOVE....shim job at K&T reliable or not, u have to ask Ken..he did it there b4. i personally wont go back there again la....went there did servicing, sucks! tune my bike extract 700ml of my petrol!!

 

so u havin the same problems as me too ah? noisy engine compare to the rest of the RVFs right? like "clackclackclack" at idle right?

 

so far the mechs i trusted tell me iz fine and not to waste $$ to do it la...i choose to heed their advise lor coz i not much $$ these days. engine old liao bound to have some noise and is normal.

herez a piece of news.... a dyno test from a UK RVF400 forum reveals that the HRC CDI do not increase the bike's horspower at all....standard CDI cuts out rpm at 14700 rpm whereas the HRC CDI lets the bike rev till 15600 RPM before cutoff..that is all.

 

how many of us actually take the bike till the stratoshpere of 15000rpm hmm?
