1 of the jettings u mention is change the petrol needle to bigger holes so that more petrol can be injected.

 

the other 1 is to tune how much petrol is to be injected.

 

and if u wanna change to knn air filter, u got to do jetting.

and if u wanna do jettings, u got to change to knn air filter.

 

yes oil filter is say to be change every 2nd time u change ur engine oil, but i change it every time i change engine oil.

while "pilot jet" is one of the jets in your carbs, which controls the fuel/air ratio at low to medium throttle openings. The main jet is for mid to full trottle ;)

Sorry, but to make things clear,

 

"Factory" is a jet kit with needles, and various jets to set up your carbs,

 

while "pilot jet" is one of the jets in your carbs, which controls the fuel/air ratio at low to medium throttle openings. The main jet is for mid to full trottle ;)

 

something 2 add on, actually factory jet is juz the jet kit while the four additional needle are pilot jet.

sighhh...jet lai, jet kerh.....with yoshi or mircron end can only give u like what?? 2HP? 3 HP increase??? that is IF you ARE lucky!! a proper tuning and slection of proper jet sizes from the jet kit requires time, effort and skill!

 

read up on the carb jetting thread....it takes more work than u can possibly imagine......doesnt mean the mech wack in the jets, do some tuning with his carb balancers can liao....you still need to run it at half, 3/4 and full throttle, do a plug chop, stop yr bike.....take out the spark plugs n inspect for overlean or overrich fuel/air mixture AND THEN...... take out yt CARBS and either UP or DOwnsize the jets, repeat the process until your plugs is a nice even brown color.

 

im sure most of you that did the factory jets, yr mech dun do that! they just wack in whichever size they feel is good then do a normal tuning and thaz it..sometimes this causes the bike to carburette badly.

 

i think i will do this mod i f i am in a technically competent biking coutry, say maybe australia or usa but i guess not here coz seriously the mechs here dun work that way.

 

correct me if im wrong.

Paiseh. when changin oil, pour in 2.5L or 3L?

 

Without oil filter, 2.3L

 

With oil filter, 2.4L

wow..do so many things of coz will be EX lor.... do slowly la! no need to do all at once...slowly bit by bit lor. dun think the mech can tahan oso la....

 

but some things better to do together like oil change/factory jets/tuning.....as for the grounding..i dunno.....if u take a multimeter and measure one of the groundinh straps to yr metal chasis and the reading is less than one OHM...e.g 0.06? then its good enuff..no need to change the cables la..it wont make much of difference, coz we dun have heavy electrical loads like cars.

the oil feels more smooth but maybe its new, will give more comment after longer use. Btw how does grounding help our bike.

Its said to be able to make ur batt work to the fullest as it like a harness which prevents electric leakage n direct it to points which needs them. Dun realli noe how to explain. I'm havin electical problems with my rvf n nuttin seems to work... So just wanna try this groundin thing out. Sum say good, some say useless....
