Expensive charges!

I'm a rider with FZ1000. I have this experience of shop trying to extra charge me. I went to Sxxxxxxx. I had a problem with the bike and got it checked at the shop. They told me its the fuel pump. And they quoted me $580 for the fuel pump. I was quite surprised as it was quite expensive for the pump. I talked to my friend about this. He recommend me to go to HKL instead. And so I went there and get the bike checked. They even get the bike on dynojet to check the problem electronically beside doing a physical check. The problem was really the fuel pump. But the thing is,they quoted me about $480 only. Can you see the price difference? This is not a good way to cheat a customer money. Guys,I suggest you to ask around before you get anything done. If not because of my friend,I could have spent my money more than I should.

guess its always best to get a few quotations/opinions when it concerns a major problem. $100 is alot of difference! Good move bro. Btw what were the symptoms of ur problem?
