Hi I am new. I feel that I kena con that I bought my ah pek bike for a super mark up price. When I heard that my bike can be bought between S$800-S$1500. Is it true?

I have been riding for coming 3 months but the bike engine gets very hot and noisy each time. I have changed my engine oil several times. What should I do? I dont know how to check or assess my bike condition, however I dont know who can I go to and consult my bike without being con again.

hi fussykidd,

you must be fussy enough to call yourself fussy kid.

i too am actually quite fussy about how ppl post their remarks on internet.

before i get really pissy about what you are so fussy about, can let us know more about yourself besides the fussy you?

1. what bike you ride?

2. how do you define "ah pek bike"? is there a bike brand call "ah pek"?

3. your age profile? we sure know you have been riding for 3 months, may be 6 months now.

4. you first time own a bike? cos you say don't know who to go to....

5. you said engine gets very hot? how hot? put a kettle of water over it and see if it boil, if it does, probably it is 100 deg c.

6. you said the engine noisy? how do you define noise? have you come across a soundless bike before? what are you comparing to as this is first time you own a bike.

if you find me too nosy and too fussy, it's ok.

i have just seen too many of your kind of post in this forum that you received no reply at all.

i think i am so free till bored.

may be you can help advise me how to past time. :slapforehead:

take more precaution on dealing with bike shop next time. just take it as a lesson and move on. U get better as the time goes. If not, ask a seasoned biker to accompany to bike shop.

Yeah, ask you colleagus/friend to go along with you
