Though Friday 20 Sept is just the warm up laps and practice sessions, there's also plenty of off-track entertainment, listed below!

Spectators at the Bay Grandstand will hear the roar beneath their feet as the cars race past the picturesque waterfront stretch and drive underneath the Bay Grandstand, a signature feature of the Singapore circuit.

This section of track has proven to be an Achilles' heel for many of the drivers as it requires them to negotiate four angled turns (16 to 19) in quick succession. In 2012, Narain Karthikeyan lost control of his HRT in his Marina Bay Street Circuit debut and crashed into the barriers at Turn 18 in lap 32, triggering the first of two Safety Car appearances. In 2010, another HRT fell foul here; Bruno Senna rammed his HRT into Kamui Kobayashi's stationary BMW Sauber that had hit the barriers earlier.

The Bay Grandstand is perhaps best known for the notorious 2008 Nelson Piquet Junior incident that took place after Turn 17, in addition to bungled moves a year later by Romain Grosjean at the same location.

Bay Grandstand ticketholders are spoilt for choice when it comes to food and beverage, with outlets at the grandstand’s undercroft, as well as at the nearby Esplanade Theatres by the Bay.

Patrons have access to Zone 3 and Zone 4.

Performances you will be able to catch:

Best known for their infectious tracks and high energy stage performances, BIGBANG has garnered eight #1 hits on the Gaon Chart (South Korean record chart) and sold close to 65 million digital singles and over 4 million physical albums in Korea, Japan and the rest of Asia.

Formed in 2006, the group has since won 103 music awards, including topping pop idol Britney Spears to win ‘Best Worldwide Act’ award at the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards, as well as the recent ‘Best Male Group’ and ‘Artist of The Year’ at the 2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards, received after their two-year hiatus from the K-Pop scene.

K-pop fans can expect a charged-up concert with BIGBANG’s record-breaking hits including ‘Lies’, ‘Hot Issue’, ‘Stand Up’, ‘Last Farewell’ and ‘Haru Haru’.
