Hi guys, just got my class 2 recently. been looking around for a class 2sport bike but not many i can flat footed. saw online there is such thing as Lowering Kit/Line so just wondering if there is any bike shop carry that or do any lowering for Sportbike in Sinapore to cut down a few INCHES off the bike so i can ride confidently and comfortably OTR, i do really hope for some constructive comment. thanks for viewing and have a nice day =D

What bike r u lookin at bro?usually if u read ov erseas forums...they wld suggest u get longer dogbones for the suspension linkage.....or u can get aftermarket suspension for example nitron wic u can customized to be shorter than normal for vertically. chalilenged folks.......n their prices r reasonable ......there is a local distributor who brings in car nitron shocks but can bring bike suspension suited to ur weight n usage..

I ride at 70km/hr only...please please dont blow2 at me or overtake me dangerously....wait i change into Incredible Hulk n dont know why my little baby bike will always be ahead of u if u do that

Thanks for the reply, I am still looking around for my bike but basically for my height 1.66m not much class 2 sport bike suits me only a few like gsxr600 or maybe cbr600 haven try on it though.

Yah I read on overseas forum that they have this lowering link that look like dog bone to lower the bike, But I won't be able to know how to fix it. The shop that import nitro shock know how to install for bike ?

first option you can do is measure the length of ur current dog bones in ur current bike then u can get longer dog bones than your current ones from ebay or get a local machinist to fabricate for u perhaps

2nd option is u can get an aftermarket shock like nitron but of course there are other brands like wp,bitubo and ohlins. The reason I decided on nitron sport shocks because there are options for an add on hydraulic preload adjuster and they would handbuilt each shock to your weight plus gear and also to ur type of riding....how many % riding on roads or track for less than 1k....im a 100% road rider by the way..I would suggest you do some surfing on the different type of nitron shocks available on the net and see if they see to your riding style and also compare the different brands and pricing.i read for nitron you can ask for an inch shorter for shorter riders

perhaps to some buying a shock with hydraulic preload adjustor for close to 1k is super expensive but I had used bitubo for more than 5 years with a bike with 3 boxes and for me aftermarket shocks is worth it for the extra confidence it gave on the road.

the nitron distributor do not fixed the shock for you but you can go to the shop he recommend or u can go to your regular motordiam for a reasonable fee. You can email him at [email protected] for quotes and ask for khim tay.

i ride suzuki bikes thus i went to suzuki guan hoe autobay to fix the shocks for a reasonable fee.hope this helps

I ride at 70km/hr only...please please dont blow2 at me or overtake me dangerously....wait i change into Incredible Hulk n dont know why my little baby bike will always be ahead of u if u do that

Thanks for the reply! Probably the best Info I could get on the net. As Just got my gsxr600 k8. Still abit tall for me, gonna ride it abit few more times before I decide on lowering it, so far riding still okay, except if Kena slope and need to reverse den I Need to come down of the bike to push .

But If I really gonna lower it, most probably I will go for the dog bone option .

Shock is really too expensive for a NSF already T.T I won't be going track also

of course if bone didn't work out, this will be my last resort .

Once again really thanks a lot for the input, really appreciate it.

Hi, I think for 1.66 is alright to handle cbr, R1, or any jap sports bike except dicati... I am at 1.58, have been riding sports bikes like hayabusa, R1, 929, Z10 for more than 30 years. my both legs cannot touch the ground either. Bro, I will advise you to build up your confident, Be very positive, and go for lots of self pratices. I also have a biker friend that is 1.56, still riding his R1, he is very well known with any superbikes seniors, you can ask around, popular bikes shop owner or mechanics know his popular name, Mambola, his R1 is not lower, and when he make a stop, he have to throw backside, a very confidence rider at age 57 now, till today, we are still riding , still going for long trip. You can lower both foks to an inch and fix the suspension to the maximum. that maybe it will help a little, dont wase money buy aftermarket shoks, it won't help much. all the best for super bikes lover...
