Hi I am new to this forum...

I have been riding almost my whole life till last year bought a car and sold my ever faithful super4. Barely a year and i miss riding already...

Anyway I am writing to asking the regulars in scrambler scene on your take on GAS GAS bike. I understand its not a popular brand. I don't need a super duper bike, just one that I can ride and kick around with.

I need to know:

1) Is this a problematic bike?

2) is it easy to find parts and are they expensive?

3) Which bike shop repair this bike...

Thanks

GasGas is a off-road race bike with lights. Use it according to it's design parameters and it will serve you well. Try to use it to commute and you will be cursing and swearing.

I don't find it anymore problematic than KTMs or WRs. Parts are expensive and hard to find. The sole agent (Chong Aik) carries parts. Check with them. Most dirt bike specialist shops can repair the GasGas. It's a simple 2 stroke afterall.

My GasGas 250 drinks 1L petrol for every 10km, and vibrates like mad. But it rocks on trails. I never commute on it.

Past: KDX200, LC4 400, LC4 620, GSXR750WR

Present: CBR900RRY, Gas Gas EC250, XR250L, XR250RV, XR400 (motard-ed), NX650 Dominator
