I guess Expressway means its "express" to enable veh to pass through easily. Else it'll be termed as "highway" or "freeway" where veh can go faster. It took a few years before they raise the CTE bar to 80kph

 

Yeah, but i dont think by slowering down traffic, vehicle can pass through easily..it can lead to congestion...

e.g: car A drive 70km/h,behind him 69km/h,behind them 68km/h and so on until a complete stop...(just an analogy)

 

But that doesnt matter, what does is, the number of traffic is increasing!

For me, I'm more wary of those ghost holding cams camou at "high places".

 

If u have been using kpe during the day, u would always notice funny figures camping opening at different entrances of KPE. Ever spotted someone in white uniform and white bike (Not TP/Rov) standing there looking and taking notes and 2 people sitting inside the tunnel (the phrase II part of the tunnel, where vehicles are restricted from entering) holding something that looks like a camcorder and aiming at oncoming vehicles.

 

This prompted a question... if u noticed, there's signboard in KPE asking u to switch on your headlights when entering the tunnel.. I wonder would you be fine or anything if u nv on your headlights in the tunnel..

Its would be quite impossible to tell you how much it would be as it depends on various factors such as age of bike, rider's age and experience, bike's make and model.

 

a 18yo rider for nsr might be around the region of 500+ pa. might be more might be less. I think you could use NTUC Income website for free quotation, but bear in mind that what they quoted you would be based on a 30+yo person with more than 2 years riding experience.

I think you could walk in to TP HQ, tell the recep that you wanna do a traffic offence appeal. They will give u a form to fill.

 

Alternatively, you could go to your mp. He will draft the letter out and send the letter on ur behalf under his name

No need me to relate: Imagine - you are riding when u saw a lady riding a scooter ahead. You pass by, glanced at her, but can't help to notice how come one of its long-neck mirror facing her, machiam like she need to look at herself on it.... actually - the mirror loose la...

The funny part was, I point at my own mirror gesturing to Angels abt her mirror and laughed (evily)... but she just kept waving at me "bye"... I'm not even saying good bye lor... .. only later then she realized my gesturing msg...

So long as the authorities do not make it a mandatory compliance, then they will not give a summon. There are some practices they can only encourage e.g. turning on headlights and avoid switching lanes in tunnel. In HK, their suspended bridge and tunnels have double line as lane markings. You'll never see a vehicle changing lanes coz the fine is very heavy and they can catch you easily.
