Can I seek you advice?? Nowadays when I am about to start moving my S4 off, the bike stalled sometimes. I slowly released my clutch and throttle at the same time, but somehow the bike like not moving off... It seemed like rolled off a bit then the bike stalled... I have this bad feeling the clutch pads are "botak" and they are not "connecting" to move the bike off, which is why the bike stalled.

 

I have this experience with my Phantom TA200 previously and true enough, when I rode to HKL to check my TA200, they open up and said and showed me the clutch pads botak liao to the extend of nearly "metal hit metal"...

 

I am very afraid and worry that this is the case for my S4. Anyone can advise if this is really the case, how much will be S4's clutch pads?? Where is a better and cheaper place to have my S4 checked?? Cos I understand that there is labour fees involved in "stripping" open the engine to see the clutch pads and to replace them (if really is a case of worn-out clutch pads) and to fix back the engine cover...

 

If it is not a clutch, what are the other possibilities?? Don't tell me it's a worse case of worn out gears, that will be cost me a bomb to change...

 

Another is that my FS-plate S4 is reaching its 100,000km(99.999km on the meter) soon, the meter will go back to 000000 right?? What sort of MAJOR servicing do I need to do?? Like change timing chain, etc...???

 

OMG... looks like I need to spend a lot of $$ this time for servicing...

eh... not sure what could be the problem u r facing. bring to a reliable workshop to check ba or ask the rest of the guys first. anyway if u buy clutch plates from fjt, it cost about 50 to 60 not including some labour fee from workshop to change for u.

 

and nope, after 100,000km, it just keeps going, wont reset to 000,000. most people go for top overhaul to change the timing chain, belt, tensioner etc

I did ride over to ASP Changi, opposite Hotel 81 where EMW supposed to be, with a friend. But realised all ESRs left, heard from de-Mod that WSRs have left...
