wat i can recommend u to do is.... wait for coe to drop or get a 2nd hand bike....

 

2nd bike do and donts

 

- get sumbody with enuf riding experience to help u see the bike

- start the bike let in idle for a while rev in then hear any stupid sound or not

- spin tyres to see in runs straight... both front and back....

- check front chassis to see any damage or welding marks

- check carb and block are stock(some may have mod bike)

 

-do not rush in getting a bike

-go survey from shop to shop to see wats the price

-dont keep quiet... ask qns.... coe how much until when bike how long use interest how much.... ask if not sure...

-lastly dont be stupid and hear their sweet talks....

ok... things to share.

 

Brakepad. Aft 1 wk on the "Kevlar" pads, it bed in liao n true enuff, its better den the stock yamaha ones. E brakes r now better.

 

Fuel - Been on caltex98 n its really quite a gd fuel till I backside itchy, changed to caltex plat. On normal riding, it feels almost the same as 98 but if were to throttle slowly on lower gear to move ard tight areas, its definately alot smoother den 98. On the highway n minor rds when moving off from the lights, when u whack, the acceleration is indeed faster n more linear. Not yet got the fc to compare wid the 98 where I can achieve 48-50km/L. Will monitor n update asap.

Who u bought it from? Need to ask them to reprogram the cdi 4 u.( that is,after u change to big bore piston,carb,hi cam. )

4 cdi if can progm by your self than bike shop mach can sleep more....

no point getting cdi if u never chg carb or BIG bore blk ....cheers!!

HELLOoo...Last few month,i checked at bikeshop and they quoted me $3500++ like that ba.guess the market is around there ba. Best is to go around check the bike condition with pricing.

yupz.... 3500++ but not including insurance..... so with insurance should be around 4k +++.... and if u do get a a x1-r WELCOME TO THE CLUB

Hi Bro, that time i saw is FBB plate $3500 machine price.as for which shop to recommend i think it best to shop around as you can see the condition of the bike and make compare.some may said location A is good and some may said location B is Better but end of the day,it's up to individual choice.All the Best for you for choosing the right bike.Cheer!!!

I am intending to get the new X1R colour (Red+White) by this month or next month, i will place a deposit down first by this week, any suggestions/feedbacks you guys can share with me ?

i still have not obtained my license, on the 30th will be my 2nd TP test.hehehehe.
