I tried diy change of endcan and the screw broke into 2. Now I need help on removing the part stuck inside the endcan. Does anyone know where can I get it done?

there is a couple of ways to remove the broken screw.

one is screw extractor that can be bought from DIY store, the extractor will be drilled into the heart of the broken screw and act as the head of normal screw.

the other method is to drill away the broken screw and rethread to the hole using tapping tools..

the last method which some bike shop adopted is to tap weld a screw end to the broken screw and screw it out as normal.

Seriously, before you try the above methods, you got to ask yourself whether you are skilled and confident enough to do it without causing further damages.

 

Most of the time, the cheapest way to do it is paying someone, even at the rate of $50 per screw (no pun intended)

depending on how it is broken, you can cut a slot and try to unscrew it with a screwdriver, punch a small hole and drill it out. If the screw breaks inside, maybe you can spray wd40 on it to hopefully loosen it, screw extractors you need a reverse drill. Pictures would help.

well... i had tried using screw extractor and failed miserably... guess i have to leave it to the pro... anyone got recommendation as to who and where can i get pro help on this?
