Nowadays still must run-in? I know that cars nowadays do not need run-in.

 

Check with the company you bought from... wheather run-in is required.

 

Typically during engine run-in, you avoid running the engine at higher RPM for the first few thousand kilometer.

From what I can remember, we need to go for oil/filter change after the run-in period.

You can google it on the net. I should not be difficult to find

Yamaha Power Valve, Suzuki scrambler, Honda Scrambler (1992 - 1998)

Suzuki Swift : 2001 - 2003

Honda City : 2003 - 2011

Honda Civic VTI : 2011 - 2015

Suzuki Impulse GSX400V 2014 - 2017, extend till Oct 2022 (Scrap in Nov 2020) 😢

Honda Vezel : 2015 - Nov 2025

According to boon siew, as long dun exceed 100km/h before reaching 2000km mileage is ok

I thought run in have to rev and ride hard? how come must limit speed and be gentle?

 

Piston inside the engine is still new so if rev high and also exceed speed limit will cause the engine to game over faster than usual.

Go HKL and do a dyno run in and ur good to go!!!!

You can refer to your owner manual. Not to exceed certain RPM during certain number of mileage.

Dec 2005 >>> Honda NSP SP FTXXXXX

Nov 2013 >>> Suzuki GSR 750 FBHXXXXX
