I'm thinking of getting just the helmet and use the ones provided by ssdc .

Helmet and gloves! SSDC only provides helmet and guards.

Good luck for lesson 1, will be fun. If you plan to use ssdc helmet you may want to consider using a head scarf for hygiene reasons think I've seen some folks doing that.

Yup i got mine with my gloves from Helmetboys!

I usually go for night lessons. Just hope it wont stink.

Not really sure if they do. But you could head down to helmetboys to get the gloves and head scarf thing.

total spent $26 cause i choose a softer gloves.

 

FYI - $9 (Headscarf) + $5 (member) + $12 (Gloves) = $26

Actually hassle free, can just get everything at Helmetboys. Saves you the transport fees to every other places.

 

If you intend to go for 2A, and 2, then the package is quite good for the guards and the novice-looking helmet. I am keeping both of it for 2A and 2. JFYI, when I was taking 2B, I saw a guy using FF helmet for 2B, I feel it's not so recommended cos it can block quite abit of view from under your chin. That's why I am keeping the kuku looking open helmet.

 

If you intend to ride a sports bike or some cool bikes next time, and want to save $ for your future expensive gears - can get helmet from school (maybe carousell got clean and cheap ones too), durian gloves and use the guards from school.

Would like to ask everyone here!

Why do i keep accidentally downshifting when i rest my foot on the gear paddle??

is my posture correct? I tried to not rest to hard and my ankle kinda feels cramp.

Anyway to counter this?

I asked the instructor he told me, to practice more.....

Just move your foot a bit behind so that it will not be stepping on the gear lever.

I had the same problem when doing e brake. Somehow, my body will lean forward when the bike stopped and sometimes I will accidentally step on the gear lever. Points will be deducted. So for my e brakes, I just shift my foot off the lever when I'm on the third gear.
