Metzeler Tourance Next wobbling

Anyone got issue with this tyre?

Tends to wobble at high speed.

I have friends using this tyre on diff bike facing the same issue.

My friend is using this tyre..wobbles at 100+kmph..heard that GS LC factory fitted with this tyre also facing the same problem..got ppl post video on youtube showing how bad the wobbling is..looks really dangerous...

Yes there is top box.

But no issue with anakee2 except for this tyre

Have given feedback Metzeler abt this matter.

They want me to contact my local distributor which I did.

They denied the claim or exchange.

Reason being for causing the wobble

1) ride on sealant - I have remove but still the same and another roadie who doesn't have sealant also facing the same issue

 

2) wheel balancing - done twice and 1 is by the distributor workshop.

 

3) top box - rubbish excuses - tried on another tyre (anakee2) no issue at all

 

They are very good at pushing away even though they have warranty. No more elephant for my bike.

Go and tell Metzeler that local dealer doesnt want to acknowledge warranty? And forward to local dealer.haha

Yes. I had this serious wobbling problem when I took delivery of my new R1200GS LC. Wobbling was really bad at around 75-80 km/h during 3-4 gears when closing throttle. Complained to PML who did a good job to get the distributor to replace the front tire. However, after riding another 1000 kms on the new tire, the wobbling came back. Since then, managed to replace this useless Metzeler tires to Anakee 3. By the way, I had also checked with KL and Penang BMW Motorrad and it appears that it is a known problem.

Best part is our local distributor said there isn't any claim or complaint on this issue.

But to consumer, we all know it is a problem

Change to Anakee3 and tested last week.

Used for 1 week and travel for 390km as run in.

Tried top speed with it at 190km/hr.

No wobble

With same set up and top box. Absolute nothing but stable with confident. Unlike Tourance Next, 120km/hr and above wobble and risk life with it.

Where can we get the Anakee? Available in 17" sizes?

Any of you guys using the tyre puncture sealant thing? Read on some forum, that could be the problem.
