Hi there! I just got a RXZ... from '85... but it's "re-vamped" (mod'ed exhaust) ... But still, I got some problems with it though:

 

1. After filling up the 2t, Oil drips from the sprocket area... smells like 2t.. how come?

 

2. Sometimes after filling up the bike with petrol, petrol leaks from the cap... why is this so?

 

3. Why does petrol leak from the carburettor? (coz everytime i dismount, i must turn the fuel guage off...)

 

4. Is there anyone with a (unwanted?) Yamaha RXZ 135 manual (printed or .pdf) to share/spare or even sell?

Hi.. i jus passes my licence 2 weeks ago n had got myself a RXZ recently.. it's paintwork is black in colour..

 

Was wondering how i can make my bike look more nicer and special..

And oso hope to gather alot of RXZ frene, so we can go outing together.. :smile:

Make sure your 2t is not to the brim, coz when you park side stand it will drip.

 

For petrol leaks out of cap, maybe your cap is loose. just change to new one.

 

As for carberator, that one i never experience before.

2t drip? mayb engine oil leak. must see first.

 

cap rubber worn out. change rubber or can diy.

 

dismount the carb or dismount from the bike?

if u nvr ride, just off the fuel

if u dismount the carb oso must off the fuel oso.

y, mayb ur overflow pin or wat it is called worn out. change new one. sometimes the float or float level not in proper level.

 

so far nobody has the service manual for rxz. cannot find. if u can find i oso want.

if new anytime can go jb find accessories.

 

if 2nd hand, better u do a full service n check any prob. if u got lot of cash, then anything u want oso can....

maybe its because of my jetting tat my piston seize the other time...im using an operated pipe with no block modification...using oil jet size 210 but air jet im not too sure...does tat seems ok to u guys?

erm i face tis prob often.... wen braking, irritating noise produce.... the screws and bolts keep loosen every now and then.... and lastly got any recommendation wat type and brand of tyres to use on a 18" sport rims???

using operated pipe with no block mod is ok but jetting must change. wat size cannot tell cos it depends on ur bike. ask ur mech to rejetting.

you can learn n im still learning too. but if u cant tell any prob then wat we can say is ur bike is normal. shoot qns, mayb we can help u. i advise u do a full service first to start off. if other minor things, meet up then we can see ur bike.

I travel to jb twice a week... (pump petrol and buy things.. - 1 hour approx.)

 

Does anyone know where in JB can I get good prices in terms of parts and services?

 

I'm gonna change my rear tyre soon... All worn out oredi Hoping to find a shop that changes it for around RM $60 incl. service...

 

I found some RXZ owner's manual and service manual on google search... but quite ex... I was wondering is there anyone in SG or JB having such a manual (more convienient)?
