Hi :)

 

Do this: remove the left side cover and the tank (one screw 12mm, then can lift it off towards rear-up, be careful to disconnect the wire for the fuel meter first!).

 

The trace the wire coming out of the engine (from the magneto) to a connector where it is connected to the main wiring of the bike, this is at some place under the tank.

 

Disconnect it, and spray some WD-40 into both plugs, then connect it back together. Check that all connections inside the plug are proper and not lose!

 

Start engine and check if the problem is still present.

 

IF SO, bring your bike to the nearest repair shop and have the light/charger coil changed for a new one. This is not expensive (at least here).

 

In RXZ, the coil (just one coil!) has two functions: Provide power for the bike's lighting AND the charging of the battery, this is done by having two layers of wire on a single core making it a two-in-one coil. If one of the two "stages" fails, the other will, due to loss of magnetic influence (i don't know how to say it in English) work only at very reduced power.

 

I have had that problem twice already with RXZ's original coil, and have changed to one of Kawasaki which has more power and also seems to last much longer. Don't know which model of Kawasaki but it fits in RXZ.

Morning fellow zeckers.... Hai, this month is not cool... Raining season plus into some bad ****.... Hope the sun will shine bright once again.... My mech told me that my block is having very loud sound... Seem that the piston or the ball bearing in block is spolit... Going to waste $$$ to repair again...
