Is it tat bad? Hmmmm... If ur rear tyre is losing it's rounded profile and gettin a bit square-ish, maybe u should just change it even if there is still thread on it. U don't know how thin of the rubber is left in the middle part of the tyre rite?

 

And abt ur gantung, is it leakin? Why do u say it's ****ed up? Lots of rust is it? Maybe it's not the tyre or the gantung tat makes ur bike feel like it's fish-tailin. U ought to hav the swing arm's bushin checked out too!!!

 

oredy change my tyre its one of the first thing i had to do since takin my bike cuz i noe the rear tyre is wearin thin...neway changed to duro size 90/80 @ $55 feel like expensive dunno got kana cheat or not...now must change gantung...its all dirty n rusty n it already lost its "firmness" nw ride bike very bouncy one!!

 

neway the mechanic told me the swingarm no good esp the bushin sumting wrong must do sumting bout it...hmmm dunno bout changin the swingarm must be very costly rite? rite? rite?

$55? Hmmm... I guess they charge u more for buyin a piece and not a pair. But don't worry, u just got cheated by just a few $...

 

To get new gantung in S'pore is quite ex. If u said tat ur gantung is not tat rigid anymore and ur ride is very bouncy, maybe u should try tis first before planin to change the shock. Try tightenin the spring on ur shock. I don't really know wat shock u hav but most of the aftermarket can adjust the stiffness and travel of the shock. How to go abt doin it? Check out my very early2 post :

 

"Anyway, its pretty simple to adjust ur shock stifness/travel. See the screws on the shock? (See budget attachment)[ATTACH]40414[/ATTACH]

 

All u hav to do is simply to loosen the top ring and adjust it to ur height liking. Then its just a matter of turning/screwing the whole spring assembly to follow up! Finally just tighten the top ring to the spring assembly before riding off! Make sure that it is tight so as not to damage the tread of ur shock should u wan to adjust it again in the future and also hav a squecking shock!! Hee...."

 

(I bet Mav should be familiar wif tis zaman kental post. Hehe...)

 

And abt ur swingarm bushin. I don't think the parts itself won't cost u a bomb but it's the service which adds up to give u tat "wonderful" digit! Hehe... Follow me to JB one day to service ur bike lah... Easy and save money...

Actually, Duro tread follow the design of Bridgestone Battlax. Exactly the same although the width and the rounded profile of Duro and Battlax is way diff. Luv the tread and the hard wearing profile of Duro's rubber. But still abit weary of the super slick surface of the tyre.

 

Used to ride on Duro tyre last time...... On my bicycle though.... Hahahaha... Made in TAIWAN!!!!

Don't know bout u guys but I don't really asked ard for overhaulin in S'pore. I don't really trust them anymore everysince tat 1 time incident where I hav no choice but to do it here cause my bike ain't moving.

 

Paid above 400 plus for a "local" piston, rebore of block(a jump from 1.25 to 1.75 piston), local conrod, bearings and used clutch plates. And the mech told me tat everythin included in the price are NEW ORIGINAL JAPAN parts.

 

And the way they work on the bike, very scary. Give them the bike in the evenin and u can collect them the next mornin. I'd rather hav them take their time and check my bike thoroughly, get all the neccessary parts and fix up wif precision and test out the bike. Rather than rush things out just to get more money from more customers and concentrate on bigger bikes(no offence to those Zeckers who upgrade their bikes!) so as to earn more from them!

 

Well tat is just my thought. Of course I can be wrong but yeah, once kena is enough for me I guess...

 

Wah lau... Sound like a bad expeience for u... My shop said need a day or two for the overhaul.. Hopefully it will be good...

Petronas 2000, 12.50rm - 14.00rm. Yep, I noticed ther's a price diff between the Petronas near Lorong Bapok ther and the one at 2nd Link. Don't know why......

I trust 2 of the shops over there, one of each shop having their own specialty. Eg, one good at doin over-haulin of engine and the other one for basic servicing and accessories. 1 of them is a malay shop while the other one is a chinese shop. So yeah, go figure... So far never go to the indian shop yet(no offence though) but I know one guy from tis forum used to be a regular over there...

will try tat neway i did check last few pages n u guys recommend makida suspension which cost RM200++ dunno worth the trouble or juz change to the cheapo $50 type in sg since my bike only left less than 4 yrs...haizz

 

im quite familliar myself wit agl since im quite a regular at kedai gemok n kedai panjang (or pendek, forget which adjective they used to describe him!! lol) last yr during my kr days even got my all black painjob at jb ahboi...i dun kind of "make fren" when im there im more of bike servicin sit one corner smoke, finish servicin pay n go back!! i dun talk much lah its juz my nature ppl call it BERAT MULUT!!

Hey anyway guys, I'm still wonderin why my bike is super low after my accident. Notice it straight away after receiving back my bike from workshop. All I did is changed the shock due to the old one leakin, but of the same brand and model, and hav my fork pressed.

 

And since the rear is lower than normal, I hav to re-adjust the fork so as to balance out the front wif the rear. So rite now my bike is so low tat I'm afraid to corner without scrappin the road. I even compare the height wif Pendek's bike, who's fork is much MUCH more lower than mine but still he has to tip toe once on the bike while I can go flat footed on mine. Don't talk abt my wife's bike, her's is definitely much more higher...

 

So any idea wat's goin on?

Buat dosa je kau bulan2 puase ni, tak baik tau buat story... If my moto kuat, how come I cannot catch up wif u then?

 

Anyway, Panjang is not my guru, just like the way he and his colleagues do engines and explainin things abt bike. If not for the very long queue. Plus they are more concern abt ur safety rather than the performance of ur bike.

 

The malay shop which I also like to go is Along's shop. Not much of a shop I admit but they are very thorough at finding the fault of ur bike and then solving it.

 

Ramesh???? Hmmm... Maybe next time so tat I hav a multi racial mechanics over there!!! Hahahaha....

 

Talkin abt guru, Pendek is my guru when it comes to knowing more abt ur bikes he's in reservist rite now), DK if it comes to cornerin (he doesn't know it but I'm the one who eavedrop when he was explainin to Mav on how to corner).
