2nd Japan folks??? Uh at Japan alot ah! Bt watevr u nd those folks for?!

Hahahaha... I thnk wat ur refering to is "fork" rite? U cn try to get ur hands on them at any scrapyards ard the island, namely Tuas and Kranji areas. Bt watever u nd them for? Firstly, u dnt Noe how bad the condition of the fork is? Tat mite lead u to leakin fork. 2ndly, those Jap's fork, once it leak out oil, mite as well throwbit into the bin coz it's not repairable. And non-adjustable too if ur talkin abt the damping of the fork. U dnt u get an original caty fork instead. If less budget, a 1st hand "local" fork can do just fine.... Sometimes out-performing the original even!!! ;)

u might be wrong bro,a japan fork can be rebuilt too if it leak oil, there oil seal selling at agent too.:cheeky:

and it work the same for both japan and caty fork regarding damping.

yeah true abt the handle lock. for me, my bike was with the kotak coverset when first got it, da rabak so i go jb change to caty, then luckily my friend stop by another shop to buy something, then i realise that i cant handle lock, go back to the shop, and they cut somewhere at the below part of the handle, tk tau la mcm mane nk explain. :cheeky:

but took me a long time to really spot where exactly the mech go and cut

bro u know why i worried or not?..now got a scam u know that alot of rxz being stolen, than the parts are taken off and dumped at other place. And do you know that if u use a modified ignition key, u can use that key to start rxz with the original key slot?..Arent u like scared?..haha ..aku takut siul bro..syg seyy motor..aku dah takleh handle lock..so what i do is, i use a disc break lock and park near my camera carpark..Carpark aku ada camera..so rasa terjamin sikit..heheh..but whatever it is, handle lock is important bro..:)

Hi.

But if a "modified ignition key" can start the bike it can also unlock the handle lock.... because that is the same physical lock.......

Best regards.....

Hi Guys, I juz bought a rxz so im a newbie here...aniways, juz wanna ask; I want to change my tyres and rims. So is it better to change at S'pore or I have to go to JB? Which is better? Plus, I would like to change some parts/accessories too. So S'pore or Jb?

To be old and wise, you must first be young and foolish.

What are the odds of having two punctures, on the same tyre, on separate occasions, in a 223km ride?:dozed:

Hi.

Where does the fork leak exactly? Is it on the bottom (where the wheel axle goes) or on the top of the lower tube (where the two tubes slide into each other)..?

I have changed the fork sealant rings on both my RXZ and the VRR that i owned for a short time, this seems to be a general weak spot on Yamaha bikes. However it is easy to DIY and as long as both tubes (upper and lower) are in good condition it should not leak again for a longer time.

Pay close attention to the condition of the upper (fixed) tube in the area where it slides into the lower tube. If there are scratches there, even small ones, it will damage the sealant ring extremely quick (one day) and start leaking again, in that case you need to replace the upper (fixed) tube.

If it leaks from the lower end there is probably a sealant ring (copper or aluminium) missing that seals the screw there.

Either way no need to replace the entire fork, maximum one fixed tube.

Best regards......
