hey guys, was thinking of changing my tyres 18". considering michelin pilot sporty or pirelli city demon..

Which one better on performance wise and longer lasting center thread?

cos i always travel expressway very long dist, den center thread worn out so fast! lol.

Hmmm... The way I see it, both tyres got the same potential. Both comes in common size 80/90 for 18" rims. So do take note it'll make ur bike a bit tall. As u noe, Michelin is made in Thailand whereas Pirelli made in Brazil. Michelin got tat low profile, rounded looks whereas Pirelli is like a hard compound all weather tyre.

 

Performance wise... Ermmmm, not so sure abt tat coz I didn't get to try them on up to their full potential! Hehe... I used to hav the Michelin tyre on my rear . I guess I trusted Thailand rubber, even in the rain! If not, I won't be using my 4th set of Dunlop TT900! :angel: Pirelli? I tried awhile on my fren's bike, all I can say I'm confident to go low wif tat tyre on....

 

So yeah, choose ur pick! Or how abt taking them both; Michelin for a smooth front and the harder compound Pirelli at the back?:thumb:

Thanks for the insight bro! Ur suggestion also quite interesting abt the michelin front and pirelli back.. Wen go bike shop can check it out!

Hi.

 

Both my RXZ use headlight of Kawasaki GTO (round, chrome) so the one of Phantom or similar bike should be able to fit, too. Be careful that the light housing has an opening for the electric wires as RXZ's main electrical connections are inside the headlight.

 

If you put a whole bottle of 2T into your tank you'll have a pre-mix of either roughly 1:25 (half liter bottle) or 1:13 (1 liter bottle). Neither will damage the engine, in fact i have used 1:25 pre-mix for ALL my two-stroke bikes prior to the RXZ and i have once completed run-in of a new piston in a 175cc single-cylinder two-stroke bike in one day by doing 500 kilometers at full throttle (only two fuel stops) with a 1:10 pre-mix in the tank. The engine took it just fine however it was VERY smokey.

 

For any two-stroke engine holds true: There is no such thing as too MUCH 2T - there can only be too LITTLE.

anyone can recommend me a good brake pump ? my current stock brake pump entah la, nk kate tk bagos, brake maseh okay lagi, cume have this persistent problem of it causing the brake light to on all the time, just went for full service and asked my mech to check it for me, at first it was okay, then after i started braking, encountered the problem again. if you all tell me its caused by the brake kit, if i go change it, price is like might as well change a new brake pump

Hi.

 

Just have them change the brake light switch - it is a small part that is inserted at the brake pump.

 

The Yamaha original part number for this as follows:

 

1A0-83980-30 Front Stop Switch Assembly

 

This is MUCH cheaper than changing the brake pump - and specially as the brake pump comes WITHOUT it, you will need it, too, or continue using the old one - which will keep your problem remaining.
