that is pretty normal for some old rxz. but if u want to know if its ur clutch plate put it on main stand start ur bike on neutral. if ur wheel rear wheel spins that its ur clutch plates.

there should be a nut at the back of the screw... so when ur tightening it u need to hold on to the nut at the back as well....

I did encounter this..was riding home skali then i realised my side cover went missing..so i guessing the nut must have loosen due the vibration of the bike..

So i bought a new side cover from LAB together with a long long screw and a nut..well i guess it worked well because my side cover is still there..

i guess putting another nut and tighten the two nuts into each other would work pretty well too..but i think it will be like abit hard to take it off when u need to.. Another way is do like what my uncle did which is to put a little bit of somekind of glue at the end of the screw..that way the nut can only be loosen with an extra amount of force and not the vibration.. :cheeky:

I went to service my carb @ Hou Heng Motors last nite.

They did a gd job. Bike is running smoothly now.

But while the mech was revving my bike, i cld hear a loose ringing sound

coming from my block. The mech mentioned dat my piston ring

is loose but i still can ride la.

1. Is there any disadvantages on the long run?

2. Must i change the piston ring alone or more major stuffs?

This bike was given to me by my uncle who rode this bike

as a means of transport for e past 8 years as the 1st owner.

Jus wanna get more info from the RXZ 'professionals' here.

Tks! :thumb:

change your rings if possible. a loose piston ring can create white smoke from ur exhaust pipe. it can also create lots of scratches on your block wall.

for the time being my advise is not to do hard rev on ur rxz bro...

Dont much about rxz but if vibration is the cause of loosening nut then yes. i guess lock nut is the best solution.but i dont know how much and where though. maybe 2 shops to the right of LAB? the one where the person selling look like ah bengz. they got a lot of screws and nut washers stuff there. but i think just slightly ex.

guys i pretty confused between full service and top service.. is it the same thing ?

my bike i think never had went thru an overhaul for its whole entire life of 12 years.. it was only passed on to me last year as my uncle didnt even utilize it at all for several years.. but strangely enough the engine still runs well ( i guess to me la.:cheeky:)

erm so my question is do i really need to overhaul it or just do full service? can any expert enlighten me?

to restore back rxz to its stock state..How much does it cost?

that depends wat needs to be changed.. if u'r talking abt getting a new engine, heard frm a friend that it'll cost RM1500 at JB..

ok i got a question for the rxz professionals out here..

my bike has this rattling noise in the engine.. I've went for full service recently and the mechanic says that it's due to an oversized block, i'm currently using piston size 1.5 which is way bigger than the default piston size.. a friend of mine says that it has something to do with the conrod.. anyone can advice me on this one?
