Like the title says, I'm unable to kick down my gear when I stop at traffic light. So basically I have to gear down to gear 1 before the traffic light. Anyone got the same issue? How to repair?

What bike you're on?

Play with the clutch lever while constantly kicking down the gear level.

Or move your bike front and back and kick down gear.

Though the first option is the easiest, and is taught in Class 2A lessons in BBDC, I remembered which could be wrong.

Road hogger @ 50km/h on 4th lane

A bike can go up till 200km/h, can the rider go up till 200km/h o_O

i have the same experience with my bike and i found the reason is due to stopping using engine brake when in high gear.

for example: if you are at gear 6 and you brake until your speed is 20-30km/h then you clutch in this will happen.

solution is clutch in earlier haha.

if you forget and the clutch is stuck like what you said, use your feet to step on down gear while slowly releasing your clutch to almost biting point and the gear will be able to down. but it will only go down one gear and you will have to repeat the process until you reach first gear.

Just adjust your clutch cable. You probably have a low clutch setting. A very small adjustment will solve your problem.
