hi, wondering if any bros here did rebleeding of their brake fluid at planet before? do they use a rubber tube to connect to the brake caliper nipple to avoid spillage of the brake fluid or just use a spanner to let go the fluid and flow onto the front tyre?

cause though this shop is good, but for bleeding, they seem quite messy.. any bros can verify?

It's environmentally friendly to use a hose to collect the ejected brake fluid so that it can be properly disposed later. Never to reuse them.

Brake fluid is very corrosive to paint work. If your rim is not painted, and quickly hose down with water, the brake fluid will not have effect your rim and tyre.

yar.. thats what they did for me.. just let the brake fluid flow out without using anything to collect the ejected brake fluid.. for the bros here, your bike nv kana anything meh?cause my first sport bike with them got the paintwork removed at the rims area..

so now abit scared to go there to bleed the brakes..though its still my regular bikeshop.. so now asking ard whether is it a norm for planet to bleed this way?

or is there any ways whereby the shop can do it properly? even at the extent of me bringing my own brake fluid, tube and container for him?

No one will treasure your bike more than the owner. If you want it done your way, the only way is to do it yourself. Unless your bike has ABS, bleeding of brakes or clutch is easy. If you really want the idiot-proof way, use Speedbleeders.

Brake wise i usually DIY, is relatively easy once u get the hang of it. I can use the best brake fluid like DOT5.1 and dont get overcharge for it.

How about Motoworld? Anyone did a brake fluid flush there before? Do they do a good job?

You can bikeworkz. Had my bike bleed over there by Ah Leong before. He is very careful abt the fliud thingy. Cover my bike well and collect the liquid in a container to dispose later.

Which shop to reccomend for bleeding ?

Tried a few reputable ones but mostly results are dissapointing, its either a leaking bleed nipple or a air bubble trapped somewhere in the end ..

the only 1 shop does it perfectly ,Service wise and quality is very good and the are using the suction tube on the nipples but at DAYLIGHT ROBBERY prices $50 for bleeding and a bottle for motul 4.1 .. ... tat why i am very hesitant to go back put myself on chopping board..

Dot 5.1 and Dot4,3 are compartiable, not to worry as DOT 5.1 have higher wet and dry boiling points than Dot4,3. I am also using Dot5.1 Lockhead brake oil cost mi $8.40 for 500ml which i think offer the best value....

i did my brake bleeding at HKL... they have a hose with a container to collect the old brake fluid. everything was done in a matter of minutes as they used a air pump to to bleed the brakes.

Good service.
