Hi guys, im a student. 19 this year. Currently im taking the class 2b and right now im waiting for my tp which is on the july 24th. Ok so now i have this question that is bothering me and that is:

1) Let's say i dont have any money with me right now but i wanted to buy a class 2b bike, is it possible to get a loan or something?

2) ive googled about the bike insurance and mostly it states that u must be 25yrs old and above to apply. So which means i cant get any insurance for my bike?

Sorry for being a noob. Fyi, i dont have any friends or relatives who took class 2b. Im the only one who took bike license and the rest is car. I would appreciate it if u could give me some help and advice me on what to do. Btw im aiming for the nsr150

1) If you don't have money, you can always see if shops allow you to do a full loan or what. Sorry to say this, but if you don't have any money, how would you maintain your bike? If you don't have any money, it will eventually become a burden to you and you'll sell it off at the end of the day.

2) 25yo above is when you're buying online thru directasia. There are quite a few insurance agencies out there. NTUC, MSIG, ANDA, LIBERTY.... I was quoted by NTUC last year (21 yo p plate) for a Kawa KRR, they got back to me around 2K+

July 18 2013 - Class 2B (1st time pass)

Dec 03 2014 - Class 2A (2nd attempt )

Feb 2 2016 - Class 2 (1st attempt)

July 26 2013 - Yamaha FZ16ST

Feb 2 2016 - ZX-12R A1 Model

thats the best advice for u. If u have problems with paying for the bike, i advice u not getting it else it will be a burden. when u get an old NSR, u nver know what problem might lurk in there. all u know u will have to spend more money fixing it rather than njoying the ride. better set ur finances right first before committing. you still have to think about servicing and when u first get ur ride, there will be bound to have some problems here and there and for that u would need more cash. riding is fun, dun make it a burden. good luck

Can loan from shop, but no such thing as Full Loan

Get your financial stable before commiting on bike..

Buying bike is 1 thing, Maintaining is another.

No money, dnt play bike

my solution to you, keep your license and don't buy a bike if you don't have any stable income unless you are born with silver spoon.

Aprilia RS125 '01 FT2630S - Mar 08 ~ Mar 10

Yamaha YZF R6 '03 FW3991C - Mar 10 ~ Aug 11

Ducati 749S '04 FX***** - Mar 13 ~ Present

If you are new and with a tight budget. You should really look for something with low maintenance and insurance.

eg: GN or CBF or CM. something not so new and non 'sporty'.

1- they wont be very new so insurance will be cheaper. Build up a few years of NCD.

2- those bikes easier to handle. gives you better chance of learning yo ride on the road and get familiar.

3- None of them are 'cool' bikes but at least you have cheap transport and can then save up for something nicer when u have budget and NCD.

.

all yhe best
