I have scottoiler installed on my bike. No brainer once you have the drip rate set up. No messy pools of oil where I Park. Get a bit of fling onto backpack but not distressing. Can tell when it runs out cuz chain gets slightly noisier. Easy to fill via the quick fill hole and from the scottoiler refill bottle.

So far no adjustment needed on the chain. Cl2 naked bike. Longevity? I have nothing to compare it against, but happy to not have to do the push and spray routine. Ever!

yup i got tired of pushing and oiling so i got scott oiler too.

i've gotten it for approximately 1year and my bottle of lub oil is finishing. so what i can say is the price of a can of normal lub oil spray last as long as the scott oiler bottle of oil, same price too.

chain life wise i cant really tell if it last longer.

downside:

-my chain guard is full of oil cauz of the oil flinging. my previous chain spray is maxima lub spray and it does not have this problem.

-you need fine adjustment to make sure the oiling tube stays in place and not move when you are on the road. i installed it at a certain reputable bike shop and they only used cable ties to secure it onto my bike instead of the metal bracket that was given. the oiling tip keep going out of place and i went back to complain and they told me that it is common practice that cable tie is used (but in my opinion common practice does not mean it is right). so one fine day the tip went out of place and got cut by my chain. now my oiler got no oiling tip cauz of those MF. eventually i fixed it using my own way and it has been staying there since then.

-the oiler only oils one side of the chain unless you buy additional add on to oil both side

my personal opinion is that if you have spare cash to spend and is really lazy like me then u can get scott oiler. if not, i would recommend you get a mainstand although it adds weight to your bike you can use the mainstand for oiling (no more pushing and oiling plus the price is the same or cheaper). also parking with a mainstand also allows your wheels to maintain its shape if you dont ride often and only change your tires once every several year.

How much 1 oiler cost?

About $180/ for a new single injector scottoiler with fixing to your bike. Worth the money. Bought mine used from SBF about 4 years ago. Added dual injector that lube both sides of the chains. My OEM chain lasted 45k km and still look new. U need to regularly clean and wipe your chains in order for it to last.

Not cheap IMO. Prefer more manual n cheap method. That way, I can ensure the chain will b properly lubricated n does not create excessive oil flinging around

but chainoiler saves you money///it will pay for iotself in no time...how?

saves on extendedered chain life 5x is often mentioned...

saves on all the consumables u bneed to maintain chains..ie spray wax..soap etc..

saves on time...you dont have to clean chains...this is the best reason as far as i m concerned..

and it gives you a smooth ride all the time...

the conclusion most probably be..
