Beside the air filter I don't see any need to change any thing. It's the case of change oil, filter and go for ride.

arghh. cant wait to get a zx14r! which aftermarket filter is so called the best for kawa? or isit just preference? haha. what about exos? heard quite a number of bros have ordered the 2012 zx14r already. no news from them? perhaps haven receive?

 

There's no so call best after market air filter. It's a matter of preference.

 

For exhaust it really depends on how deep your pocket is and it's personal preference on what you want. For the illegal ones there are plenty on eBay. But do you want the risk of getting caught and paying hefty fine. Last I heard was $750 per exhaust. Then there are legal ones. Depending how you want it to sound and look. Best if you can go YouTube look for the particular exhaust you want.

 

Just my 1 cent worth.

Is there a muzzy exhaust dealer in Singapore? If not then chances of having legal will be slim. Unless you want to homologate the exhaust with LTA yourself. You need to have all the proper document in hand and send it for inspection.

I have a hugger fixed. Dun know if it helps in anyway thou. I believe that Kawasaki would have thought of the location of the rectifier when they design the bike thou. Unless of course they expect it to spoilt in a few years time so that they can earn more $$ la.

Concerning the location of the rectifier, anyone fit a hugger on the gtr1400? It seems that the hugger can help protect the rectifier in some way.

Anyway, to answer my own question. Michelin Singapore DON'T bring in the 'B' version meant for heavy tourers.. So we just suck it and use the road 3 or try other brands.

 

Anyone tried the Pilot Road 3 yet?

 

How are they doing?

Where did you get them?

How much were they?

1. How many bikes are u looking at?

2. Which hotel are u all staying??

3. 27/04 is a Friday.. U guys staying for how many days??

4. Travelling at night or in daytime..?

5. Travelling speed?

 

It will help if more details are given.. As u are opening up this trip to riders(seasoned and non-seasoned), it will be best to post details up front first instead of when u guys are meeting up..

 

I will be touring to Betong and Penang from 12/04 to 17/04.. If my OC permits, I may join u for this trip..

Most probably set off in the morn on 27/04...stay at ipoh for until 28/04...on 28/04 we set off to hatyai...on 30/04 we will set off back sin...drring midst of travelling if too tired we will find accomodation at kl stay for one day be4 continue our journey...most probably back in sin on 01/05...we will try our best travel in the day....average speed is ard 140 to 150km/hrs...but the finalised detail havent finalised yet therefore must cmf no of bikers gg n must meet up to discuss more.no limitation of how many bikers r gg...from what we expect the more ppl gg the merrier....:)

dropped by loois today and saw the new 2012 zx14 in the box! zzz. not yet unbox. boss say need to wait till fri to for it to be put together. wonder who is the lucky owner of the beast! haha.
