3 years, maybe 4. Will be studying there.

Because of the very strict speed limits, most probably will be getting something like a BMW F800GS, or a Weestrom.

You make me so tempered man ...

I usually go French once or twice a year,

has been longing to do that Pan European ... :p

Hard to find time and often drunk ... :p

Keep us posted nE0.

I keep dreaming of shipping my ZX14 to tour Europe, and going flat out on Germany Autobahn chasing Porsche and BMWs. But from what I researched, its gonna cost me upwards of 30k to make this dream come true... :(

Sometimes when an opportunity comes, just grab it and go. Too easy to find excuses not to go on a trip.

The best is that you buy a used ZX14 in Europe, tour with it and then sell it. No shipping from Singapore, and you only lose the value between purchase and sell...

That would be substantially cheaper, eh eh. Do that before you go to Australia...

It is really odd to see the GTR still wrapped up, brand new; then, I think at all the modifications and farkles I added to mine, and my friends have added to theirs. We are so far from the original now, but i am sure glad of not having kept the original windscreen and seat. The rest can wait but these two have got to be replaced soon...

it differs from riders to riders. For me, GTR is a touring bike to fufill me my touring dream so......these are the items that are of great importance to me.

1. GPS - I used Garmin zumos

2. More comfortable Seats - I used corbin

3. Brighter headlight - I just change to HID

4. After market legal exhaust (really make a difference in weight and acceleration) - I used Leo vince

5. Radiator guards

6. Rear hugger

I have spent around 8k in mods and accessories already. Money well spent because these mods make the ride safer and better.

Come here for some interesting mods.

Everyone should choose their mods for their bikes to suit their own taste and preferance.

Whether its a need, a want, or a bling, its your choice, your bike, your money. Check out each other's bikes for inspiration, but DON'T COPY! :D

My mods are all functional ones, no cosmetic mods. Improving the bike here and there, getting round factory restrictions.

The more fans you have, the more heat the bike can draw away from the radiator, the cooler the bike.

BUT, this aso means MORE hot air is blowing at your legs. Previously only on left leg, now on BOTH legs.

Hope this helps. :D

my hid kit from here

Check out page two post 51. Thats my bike with hid on and off.

My hid kit is the one with halogen bulb as low beam. HID bulb as high beam. I tested at 2.30am on singapore expressway on last sunday. It was brighter alot. i will know more when i go to malacca on this saturday. Their highway at night is the best place to test headlights! Will feedback again.

I don think the GTRian here has fixed PC series yet. Neo zzr had fixed baazar on his bike. I have ordered mine too. Coming in a month time. Will give feedback again.

Watch this space ba! waahahahahahhahah

If comfort is prime, then high screen and a Corbin seat are a good addition, expensive for Corbin, but a lifetime investment.

As for the heat problem, I will not consider it solved, at least when stuck in traffic, after all you have a massive engine between your legs, what do you expect.

I switched the OEM coolant to Bel Ray, the Muzzys fans, will generate far more air than the stock plastic ones.

I notice a very small difference in traffic on hot days, the fans kick in but stay on less longer than the plastic fans, therefore you save also on your fan motors.

However, once you get running the bike will cool down much faster and will stay cooler on hwy riding.

My advice to you, is that if you have a 2B bike, and you do not need to trade it in, then keep it for CBD riding. That is where the GTR is a nightmare to ride.

But once you are on open roads or touring up north, then that is the best tourer one can ride.
