I can't decide which to get so I would like to ask you guys/girls, Which bike would you choose? Give me the reasons, whatever they are. Both are around the same price new, I believe.

My pro's,

Dragstar pro's - Cheaper to convert to cast wheels

Seems better to customise than Shadow

Lower maintanance cost, 2 plugs, air cool

Shadow Pro's - Better resale value

Smaller CC, hence cheaper on tax, I think same speed?

I believe Honda engine better( don't shoot me Yammy guys)

I hope to do some touring, tried once with my current Shadow 400 and cannot make it man, top speed only 120km/h and high vibration. I lag behind everybody.,

So let me hear your input.

HI Bro,

is speed really a concern?

For cruisers, its meant to be cruising at a steady speed. at the same time u r able to enjoy everything that passes by you.

* No 1 :If you were to go touring, you wouldnt want to worry too much about your bike.Correct? Then you should go for a maintenance free kinda bike. It may not have power but will save you from trouble.

* No 2 : If you are on budget, get something which is affordable in terms of CC, insurance, road tax and etc.

* No 3 : Know your bike very well inside out and you will not worry about going anywhere.

Well this is just my point view....

Diff riders may have their own point of view too. It depends on personal preferences.

Only reason I put down speed is that I want a bike that cruise effortlessly at 140 - 150kmh. That means the top speed should be another 20kmh above that.

If bike satisfies me, I would probably keep it for life.

At the moment Dragstar is ahead for me.

What about the Kawasaki Vulcan Custom 900?

It comes stock with 15" cast rear wheel + 180 rubber. Front is 21" cast wheel + 80 rubber.
