I bought a bike eg: 1999 in year 2006 for $6.5k after renewing my Coe in year 2009 for average of $1k. I decided to sell my bike for $8k -$10k now.. Becos I think COE IS SO HIGH NOW... So ...please contact me if u r interested..

Such things happen only in Uniquely Singapore. Nonetheless, I believe it is a demand & supply market. Seller can ask for whatever price they deem reasonable and similarly, a Buyer can choose to buy now or wait for price reduction.

 

If one is to buy a car for 120k (with 70k COE) and COE drops to 10k 2 years from now, would anyone buy his car for 80k (big dep of 40k in 2 years) when a new ride costs 60k? Such is the same argument for the Seller that bought low and sell high now.

 

It all depends on the market at any given point of time.
