hey all,

anyone using Nokia E61i?

I just bought it 2 weeks ago cause i beh ta han my 6280 anymore!!

At first i find that sms is kind of hard but now get use to it liao so i find it more easiler to use....

till now not much problem to it.

so anyone to share anything about it like problems or anything?

 

Last but not least, anyone know where to get crystal clear case for E61i?

i had tried many place but cant get it, pls advise

Hi.. got my e61i 3 weeks ago too. i changed from 6280 too~

e61i is a great phone with lots of capabalities...

but using 256Mb kindda limited though...

anyway phone is great. and the big screen is absolutely great.

no problem so far... yet opening and writing messages a bit laggy but still ok to me...

i tried those pasar malam silicon covers but they are terrible!

i dun dare use those clear plastic cases as they scratched my 6280 last time.

now i'm using this great rubber case for my e61i that covers even the buttons too. and the placement of the rubber pads on each button is great! plus it has a clear plastic screen to cover ur e61i's screen. so far great to me...

brand is CAPDASE. bought at first level sim lim... go get it man.. worth a buy!

Got mine 2 days ago. Crystal clear case bought from Tampines Mall, some trolley stall on the 3rd/4th floor.

 

So far so good, excellent phone, I changed from a SE K800i. Only problem I have currently is trying to connect to my home WLAN. If I secure the WLAN and include a passkey, the phone prompts WLAN not available. If I remove the passkey and use it as an open network, then no problem. Weird, huh?

 

Anyways will be looking around for those *ahem* software CDs which include loads of Symbian games and applications. I used to own a SE P900 so I'm quite familiar with Symbian OS phones.

The phone is great.. I could do so much with it..

 

Anyone has any idea or have seen protective cover(like those silicion casing) but that its clear hard plastic with a keypad protector( anyone of you notice that the Directional buttons get worn out after using like 4-6 months? )

 

a Clear hard casing but with a rubber keypad over the orginal keypad..

 

Its bit werid but i like hard casing.. anyway ... the CapDase, do you accidently key in wrongly?

No idea, but the phone is faster to respond now. I have a 1gb card installed too.

Try Fring, it's an instant messenger for the E series. I also installed Opera Mini, though eventually I reverted to the built-in browser.

Sounds like someone wants to hide certain SMS from other people hehehhe

 

You can MARK ALL the SMS, there's a menu for marking the SMS. After that, once all are selected, can delete all.

 

The phone can only keep the 20 most recent SMS. Any more than that will be automatically truncated and deleted.

no la.. cos some phone will store and store.. and is too many sms will lack the phone.. but if store too much wanna delete all take lots of time like my previous phone..

 

cos i dun have the habit to delete every now and then...
