Yeah will source for the knob... guess wat earlier noon.. happily riding along KJE then lost power... no sweat... BUT! then realised my knob was in reserve... no wonder 4 days petrol like never ending! open shake... DRY TANK! KNN! looked ahead... never ending till jln bahar exit.. uphill also... die la... kena route march with CB1k.. then lucky i kept spare container for emergency..managed to start the BEAST and romp to the nearest shell top up... Heng ah...now i know which is on and res can start to monitor...

P.s - From off position turning knob ANTI-CLOCKWISE is ON and CLOCKWISE is RES.

I tot someone already say the arrow pointing up is reserve? Hmmmmmmmm...

Although my petcock is very old and the words are hardly visible, I still managed to figure out the ON and RESERVE.

My ON is at 12 o'clock and RESERVE is at 6 o'clock, OFF at 3 o'clock. With reference to OFF, anti-clockwise is ON, clockwise is OFF.

Eddy,

Your petcock is different?

Mine has no words watsover nothing visible. only knob and 3 turns.. depending on the clockwise rotation i guess all e same... just that which way we turn. after pouring from container, i turn to ON and true enuff after a while petrol died. Then i switch to RES and manage to ride again. This how i figured my ON and RES directions... Now keep using my HP calculator to track and convert mileage from miles to KM...

Bro Jay_R1,

i guess there is a misunderstanding lah ...

in my previous post, i was mentioning the position of the knob for the fuel petcock.

NOT the arrow pointing to the position of "UP" and "DOWN"

Glad that it did not cause you much inconvenience :cheeky:

Thanks,

EddyMeng

Anyone can recommend what type of rear tire is good for cb750?

Brand: Michelin

Model: Pilot Activ

Size: 150/70 17

Price: ahemmm, i don't know for only the rear. i change a set @ S$ 280.00

Shop that sell: Mah Agency, opp Sim Lim Tower

One piece of advise ... dun go for those sport compound, i have tried Michelin Pilot Sport and due to the soft compound + the weight of cb750 ... they wear off real fast in the centre :dozed:

today is a better day than yesterday and the day before
