Hi Guys. Need some advise. Bought a bike about 6 months ago as it was claimed by the salesman price quoted is inclusive of 10 year COE till 2024. Current COE expires 27 Dec 2014. Ask the salesman will i get a refund if the COE went down to $1.00 and he said of course no it was based on that current month of $2200.0 COE. Again what if the COE rises do i need to top up? He said no. Why you so paranoid he told me. Probably he is right he is the professional there. Reminded every month to them about the COE. Came and pass them the LTA letter in November and in December sign the COE renewal form. Received a call from them to surrender the bike to the shop on the 26 Dec (COE expiring in 1 day) and same day i send in on a understanding that the bike must be with the shop possession while renewing COE. Its a must SHE said. COE expired on the 27 Dec. On the 29 Dec received a call from finance that i need to top up close to $2k for the COE inflate otherwise i will be sued under some section is the HP agreement for not renewing the COE on the 27th October 2014. They said they have send a letter to me. I asked them is it registered? He dont know. I said u all see me every month why no one tells me? Did i come personally to pay my installment? Did i come and surrender my bike as told to as they need to renew the COE? No one can answer me. The thing is have been his loyal customer for more than 20 years and never once received a hire purchase copy. This is my bad. Nevertheless can anyone advise me what can be my be my next action? Thank you.

its always best to pm the name. dont tell through here in case of legal matters. when a person asks spread it to pm. please pm me, i will avoid this shop even though i have avoided many shops because many are profit and business minded and i will always feel get cheated. nowadays , i just buy bikes within my budget. no money no talk

Tell them go fcuk spider. If you have to renew yourself then whats the point of paying them to do it? And they should have told you that they needed possession of the bike earlier to renew COE in October. Tell them to show proof of postage of the letter. But the sad thing is, if you blur blur go sign agreement without reading it you might not be able to say anything.

If no hire purchase agreement is being signed or given then the whole transaction is void..
