Are used cars worth the $bucks$?

i was looking at a 1.6L manual OPC Mitsubishi Lancer Dec 2006 going at 31k from a used car dealer.

 

OMV is supposedly $11,413.

 

It seems reasonable but any experts can advise me?

 

btw, how do i tell if its from initially bought from PI or AD?

Only the authorised distributor carry Mitsubishi lancer in Singapore.

 

Also, given the selling price of a brand new Lancer (from C&C), it is better to get a new one. The interest rates are much lower as compared to those offered by a used car dealer.

 

For this OMV, I am sure you will not be getting back any amount at scrap (at 10yrs).

lancer is all from agent wat.. where gt paralle import 1.. lol..

 

if u take about depreciation, get a used lancer. unless u intend to drive at least for 4-6 yrs time.. but most singaporean drive 1-4 years will change car. once they burn their backside liao, next time all will go buy used car.

 

new lancer u have to wait for 1-2 months for bidding of coe, used car no need wait. loan approve onli u can get car already.

 

n interest rate is given by the bank, not that dealer ani how gif u one. inhouse loan interest rate is definitely higher than normal bank's interest rate.

 

aniway the amount of parf u get for OPC is still 55% of the OMV at end of 10 yrs.

 

new lancer is around 48k, - 17k opc, new OPC M lancer is 31k, how come he sell u a nearly 1 yr lancer at 31k? 1 yr lancer should be around 26k-28k... at least 10% away from new car price for jap cars.

 

bro check the market n do sum survey b4 buying. too bad i dun haf opc lancer to sell you. haha. i have opc car, but not lancer. i have 1 lancer sports A, but is normal plate, not opc. lol.

sports n normal difference around 4k ley..

 

omv sports also higher, gt full bodykit, leather seat different, leather steering wheel, OZ racing sports rim, which cost more than 1k.. n most important.. 2 air bags... check that well.. coz most of the dealer out there.. use normal lancer + body kit + spoiler, cheat customer say its sports edition but actually is NOT. check the 2 airbag.. sports have 2 air bag while normal onli have 1. airbag each cost u around 1k at least..

 

he is asking at 30k nia, im sure u can lower till 27k... good luck bro. n that dealer who offer u 31k u can ask him back u sell him 29k wan?
