Walk fast fall is nothing, Run fast fall if serious just a few stitch but Fly too high once fall .....X?X?

I heard a Malay couple told us this, now you have a kid and you work very hard day by day but no time to see them and sent the child to child care/ day care by then when you are old it will be the opposite they hard whole day and you are in the old folk home! In Singapore we have to pay high price for convenience!

 

FYI: Yesterday my in law went for a followup consultation at the same clinic and doctor in SGH. His consultation fee last month is $85.00 and yesterday is $92.00. You see pioneer got subsidies but price keep going up and UP! For subsidies is not life time but price goes up will not goes down! This is the price we have to pay!

 

BTW: Saw news in Taiwan petrol price down in all petrol stations few days ago and news in Singapore mention oil price drop but here, any drop of pricing?

 

yeah... we all know this. most of us has been kpkb non stop... when nit pick and choose wat to compare, there's aways something better something worse.... this is our homeland and for most of us, its our homeland because of our forefathers choose to come here cos of the opportunities. Now its time for us to choose whether to remain here or is there better place for us. Countries are just politically made borders with many govt protectign their land from invasion.. but for us, we open door policy... u got money u come. when the resources get scarce, the weaker/poor/unfortunate will get ousted.. where do we go fm here.. sigh...

Even though some genuine FT which I knew they and their children is PR in Singapore for many years but when offer a citizenship they will not accept it. Worst remark they did tell me is Singapore is good because is safe and convenience other then that they don't see anything is good! With the G. control this way they will see when they are going to loose out later!

Another which I knew father is a French and mother is Chinese give birth to a daughter in Singapore so that they can have the benefits both China and Singapore but the next kid (son) was born in China so need not to serve NS in Singapore and have the advantage in France & China. So the can have the advantage of 3 countries!

 

In another hand it is sad to see our good local T. or friends choose to leave our country for good! Why leaving our homeland which Singapore is build up by our forefathers like what you mention is not by only one person or a small group of ppl.! Maybe we as Singaporean are treated as 2nd/3rd class citizen here that's why these ppl choose to leave or the money we make every month will never be enough for always going UP high cost of leaving here?

Don't bother suggesting to ban dealers from bidding. Why would LTA do that? What's their benefit if COE drops? Don't waste time. Just buy a used bike. Bikes have no scrap value so it's ok to buy an old bike unlike car where you have no parf if you renew COE.

FT to me are those foreign scientists, lecturers who are talented and lots of experiences. Come here to share and pass on that knowledge to us the citizens. Not those foreigners who are willing to accept a much lower pay for the jobs the citizens can do making it harder for fresh graduates to gain work experience. But then again that is just my thinking.

There is this news form lian he zao bao (联合早报) on 6th May 2015 that I wish to share. It stated that for motorbike once you opt to pay 5 years COE for your existing bike the next 5 years cannot be extend! Is ether you pay for 5 years or 10 years!

 

** Anyone saw this piece of news in the Straits Time or any English, Malay or Indian paper? Can anyone translate the news in English so that our Malay and Indian friends will understand better?

If in 1994 LTA transfer 3610 Category D(bike) to Car Category, then by right they should give priority to motorist as most of motorist who wish to keep their working and well maintain condition bike for another 10 years but only can afford to pay 5 years cash they should be able to extend another 5 years later! Of course some ppl that can afford to buy new bike no one can stop them purchase a new bike!

 

Bike are basically helping lower income or very small company as a transport, If you read the news if you understand 70% are those having below 200cc bikes!

If u can, pushing through agendas with enough attention in the media might lead to some changes... not easy as they are also trying to distract us fm real issues etc but we've seen how some things have change or open up abit due to such acts by individuals or grps. or a more passive way is to vote for someone whom we think can do better. If enough ppl have the same opinion, then that person/s will have the opportunity to make changes... Only problem is that the new ppl will be handicapped n burdened and sidetracked with minuscule issues such that they will not have the resources to tackle the bigger problem.
