With your statement I can conclude that u are a worker level and no where near a supervisory level.

Sorry I was born with a plastic spoon. No silver spoon for me. I have a difficult life. So difficult atas people would most likely commit suicide if they go through it. I only ride a small 2B bike for commuting which I have to pay by instalments. Not to forget I scrimp and save monthly to pay for my insurance. If petrol price go up 10cents also I sweat already. Rarely buy clothes. I will wear it till got holes. Same goes for shoes. :(

May I make a guess about you then? From your statement you seem to like to judge people and have life easy? No use saying make the best of it or beating the system if you are not providing any solution. Or just very stingy?

Lolx if you alway waiting for ppl to provide u with solution even i give u one now when situation change u die also. What the point?!?!

You do not have the motivation to improve yourself.

I'm not born with a silver spoon also. I work my way up. I was brought up in a family where my mum had to provide for 3 kids when she hardly had enough herself. She was not highly educated so there a limited to her income so I had to help out. Seeing this i started working when I'm not even of legal age. Alway on look out for what opportunity that is avaliable. Streetsmart better than book smart. Not just asking ppl to help and give solution to my plight.

I'm not having it easy but I will work hard to make it happen. Even my current situation is financially strong I will even work harder to make it even better.

Passive income and instead of alway on pay roll.

Pay off whatever u can instead of alway on loan just to own it.

Alway waiting for ppl to provide? Wow! You must be some superior being always passing judgement on mere mortals. Probably one of those who believe senior citizens are collecting cardboards mainly for exercise. I may be poor but not gullible.

Not everyone works a 9 to 5 job. There are others who work while the rest are sleeping. And at these wee hours there is no public transport. Walking? Location to go to is at the other end of the island. So how to make the best of the situation? How to beat the system? If know of any please share.

Normally there is transport allowance for odd timing or company's transport or salary must be slightly higher! Maybe there is companies that doesn't then too bad you must have your own transport!

Posted

That's why I said 2B bikes are what the middle and lower income needs, as a basic transport! Off course those that can't afford due to high COE the public transport is the secondary, again you must look for a job near your place or else if salary is low transport and meals outside will eat up your income:cry:

For a large amount of people maybe. For 2-3 people only allowance. But then its not in the hundreds.

Well cannot be too choosy with jobs. Otherwise cheaper better faster take up the job. As long no need travel 2-3hours to work cannot complain already. Worker/Coolie only not supervisory level.

how much is the cheapest 2B bike now? 10-12K?

And an basic 2A bike? 20-22K

assume 2k deposit, ur loan wud be between 10K to 20K depending on wat bike buy.

With repayment period of 5 yrs at 5%, monthly payment is between $188 to $377. (and zero after 5 years)

running cost of petrol/erp/parking/road tax/insurance about $250 per mth. plus maintenance wud probably add up to $300 on average excluding repairs.

I would say the running cost a bike is more concerning than the cost of bike.

Money is not everything however in order to enjoy life we need money.

But I dun become a slave for money.

I balance up.

That is just an example on what can be done.

I'm still working toward it. But the second point I highlight is Been there and done that.

Whatever I wanted I will try to aim for full settlement if not will be min loan and repay it in the fastest time.

must be those small bike dealers lar... big bike dealers now offering COE CAP lar, free COE lar... it'd be in their best interest if coe is low.

if COE is high, ppl will have lesser budget so may have to settle for smaller/cheaper bikes! darn the b&b bike dealers!

Nothing new. While waiting to get my 2B results overheard the guy behind talking with his friends he al ready placed downpayment for bike. So get results straightaway can take bike. Unfortunately the guy failed. So need to wait for next TP test.

Seems like the COE will linger around the 6000 mark for sometime. Till then no significant drop in price.

I remembered at this timing, the price is still $1.

I dun understand why is there a need to bid until so high ($6k+) when the current COE price is at $1.

If the COE is lower, isnt it better for traders and buyers. (buyer can buy new bikes and traders have more sales)
