i did

the procedures are exactly the same

except that the buyer must have a valid work permit or employment pass which needs to be presented at the point of transfer

no need. you need not be holding to any of those to own a bike. transfer is the same as per normal, just like transferring to a local.

Threadstarter, why don't you just call LTA hotline to ask?

You will be getting a lot of contradicting answers here.

transfer of bike to a msian, he/she need to produce his msia IC and sg driving licence only. and also the insurance.

the licence will have his FIN number as his driving licence number, thus all records will be reflected at LTA.

the employment pass or work permit will NOT have the residence address of the holder on it. the only address on it is the address of the employing company.

the address that the buyer need to fill in just need to be a VALID sg address, it could be a friend's place, office or his/her own place.

and ah tee, i'm stayin in sg. wth do LTA need to send letter to msia for?

and last thing, you need not be someone working or staying in sg in order to own a bike. as long you got the $$$, got the paperworks done(licence and insurance, etc), you can own a bike.
