The IU-unit comes with two wires, one black and one white.

DO NOT CUT THE WIRE, otherwise no more warranty

 

One of these wire has a built-in fuse, that wire is POSITIVE (+). Take this wire, connect to the POSITIVE (+) lead of the battery.

 

The other wire is to ground, just connect it to any metal part of the frame.

 

After routing the wire esthetically, coil and cable-tie the excess wire, and hide it somewhere nicely.

I cut my wire and i went to exchange for a new iu unit as it malfunctioned after a while.. when i exchange for a new iu unit, warranty starts for another 5 years right?

 

only if the iu unit itself is meddled with then no warranty..

if the warranty policy is like that, every product when reaching end of warranty, faster spoil it and claim new warranty

just fyi,

 

IU can only be transfered once bike is scrapped.

 

cost is 15$ for transfer.

they charged me another 15$ for complete rewiring which they did a cut and connect job. bunch of crap.
