Polishing and maintaining chrome parts

Any recommendation on how to polish chrome parts that have started to rust, and how to maintain chrome parts to prevent rust?

 

Tried WD40 and autosol but not very effective.

use coke and alumimium foil for that rust first, den use meguirs metal polish..cheap2 good2 method. works on my restored apek 5peed japan rxz

U mean use aluminium foil to rub, together with coke? Or soak?

soak or pour e coke over the rusted parts, wait a min or 2 den use the foil to rub the parts..after that u ll have 2 think twice be4 having another coke..lol it works bud

Heavy rust, steel wool can buy from daiso or those to wash plates.

Fine polish with meguairs.

 

To maintain, wax it. Then wash your bike weekly at least.

brasso works and a lot of time required

Did anyone buy new Brasso recently? I just bought one from those cheap shop and it got a very strong pesticide smell. Mine last time one wasn't like this.

 

And it also feels more diluted now... weaker in the sense...

Honestly, I dun recommend Brasso nowadays. Got other liquid metal polish to recommend?

well if u wanna maintain chrome, personally i use mothers metal polish and meguirs, both works well, but if ur parts have started to rust use coke and alu foil as advised from nucb
