hi guys, just need to find out if anything serious will happen to my bulb connector if i install a 90W bulb to it.

my stock bulb is 55W.

will my connector burn out? or is it build to be able to support higher wattage bulbs?

The previous owner of my bike put on a 90W H4 bulb and the stock plastic socket was molten by the heat. I have to crush the socket in order to take out the bulb. I have read somewhere putting a higher wattage bulb may melt your stock socket and the headlight wiring.

Suggestions: upgrade to a ceramic/high temp socket + rewire your headlamp circuit using a thicker gauge cable + relays

Actually, melting occurs when the connecting pins are not a good fit - do try putting a light grease b4 you connect them. I also carry some fiber H2833 H4 connectors from Utilux. It is very easy to DIY ....... I also have them as a complete wire Harness set.......

u have to consider the other headlight parts including the cover n reflector too.

if they r made of plastic, it will be blacken/melt due to extreme heat.

unless your headlight is made of steel n glass then it will be able to withstand the heat.
