Hi there guys...need ya help in this issue...well recently a taxi driver reversed into the bikes' parking lot n knocked down my bike which was parked there..I already send my bike to IDAC..Now the motor shop is doing the repair..

 

-I asked the Motorshop to keep my damaged item as I wanted them back. Then the shop said cannot bring back home damaged items.The he told me that its a new rule under the insurance company and last time can do that but now cannot.Is that fellow talking c0ck or wad?I reali wan to bring back my damaged exhaust pipe, fairings n etc... :angry:

2005 - 2006 = Honda NSR SP 150 - [FU 5**0 A]

2006 - 2011 = Honda RVF 400 NC35 RT - [FR 1**8 Z]

2011 - 2012 = Yamaha YZF R1 '07 - [FBD 5**7 D]

2013 - 2016 = Yamaha YZF R1 '13 - [FBD 5**7 D]

2016 - ???? = - [FBD 5**7 D]

Since he said its a new rule, u ask ur insurance company.. See true anot.. If they say no such rule, U head back to the shop and on ur hp recorder, record down what he said.. Case close..

The salvage has always belonged to the insurer who paid your claim. That was the law before you and I were born.

 

Since the items belong to the insurer, it's only a matter of whether the insurer actually exercises this right.

 

If you want them back, offer to buy them from the insurer.

Coz afew days back i checked with the insurance company n they told me that they won't take back the damaged items n it will be with the bike shop onli n its up to the bike shop..

It's really up to the insurer whether it wants any of its salvage. Since you've asked them and they don't want yours, write to them and ask for the salvage parts to be given to you.
