Buy bike without license

hi all.. would like to double check with you whether its possible to buy a bike without insurance & license yet coz as read in the other threads it stats that one must bring a log card to buy insurance as the rider for the bike even before he has gotten his license and is legal to ride on the roads...

 

so if thats the case i would be wasting bout 1 month plus of insurance even though i havent got my license and will not be on the roads. Is there any other way of doing this as i want to buy the bike first (as i have found 'the one')

 

if i share ownership of the bike with the previous rider (to protect myself and the rider not to go back on the deal), can i not pay for the insurance first?

Transfer of ownership will need Insurance.....

Insurance will need license......

 

You no license no insurance will wanna cover you unless premium u willing to pay like in thousands.....which i also think insurance wont wanna take the risk.....

 

I suggest you make a black & white agreement with bike owner.....

Pay him downpayment first or something....

i think u can buy the bike (legally transfer to u) but have to state "owner not riding".

Lay-up the bike. bike cant be ridden on roads, not sure about no license, but i heard it can be done for 2B rider buys 2A/2 bike.

but it's serious offence to ride lay-up bike in sg roads.

1. no insurance

2. no road tax

Agree. Can buy bike without licence. Just need to get some insurance for transfer purpose with a non-riding qualification. Your insurance company should know.

wah so darn complicated.. ok looks like i'll keep it simple n only buy a bike after i've got my license.. haha.. sharks.. darn.. many good deals around nowadays..
