Guys , today i was travelling at the newton roundabout , wasn't very familiar with that area cause i was looking which exit i should take , when i realised that i just beat a red light.

i've totally forgotten about the traffic lights being active during peak hours plus the traffic light placed on the right hand side of the road on the roundabout , didn't notice it until it was too late cause i was on the extreme right lane too.

I was very worried so i made a turn back again to see , and i realised that there was two black round cameras(the kind you see at the ATM machine) mounted somewhere near the traffic light.

Now the question is , will i be caught for beating the red light?. I really didn't mean to beat the red light and it's really hard to spot the traffic light on the outmost right lane while trying to ride carefully among the traffic (the drivers on the roundabout are crazy , they don't give a damn about your life)

If i was caught , will my chances of appealing be high?

Real worried cause i'm still on P-plate. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.:cheeky:

Last of all , Thanks!

you're lucky nothing bad happened... be glad and just be more careful next time lor... coz may not be so lucky next time :p

not sure but i think those CCTV looking camera's seem to be for LTA to monitor traffic conditions... hope for the best :thumb:

don't think TP will care whether you mean to beat the red light or not... negligence and ignorance cannot stand as reasons in court leh :giddy:

may all be well and happy

yeah but because the traffic light doesn't work 24/7 only during peak hours , and i wasn't aware of it. . Most of the time when i pass by there it was in the middle of the night.

guess what? maybe i have also blur blur ride through before... wahahaha :D

yeah , they don't have LARGE signs all over the place jsut one small one that i happen to spy when i was looking around , and their traffic light is on the extreme right side of the road in the roundabout , i was in the most extreme right lane too with the greeneries all that , it's hard to spy the traffic light from that angle until it's too late.

Possible to appeal for this case?

no need to worry until the "love letter" comes. maybe they're only CCTV cams of LTA for monitoring traffic situation... then ho-say liow :p

on the meantime, be extra careful not to clock any points, just in case add up exceed the 12 pts for P-platers... then its TP that say ho-say liow :faint:

btw another question is , will my points be cleared next year when my p plate finishes?
