To set the record straight,these Traffic Marshals can stop and record the particulars of traffic offenders,eg:stopping/riding on the expressway shoulder,seat belt offences,crossing double white line offences and all offences under the road traffic act.I agree that their main task is attending to any incidents on the expressways but they still have the power to book offenders when motorists breaks the law.

wah stopping on road shoulder also offence?!

i stopped quite alot of times at the roat shoulder liao leh especially before i enter an erp gantry to insert my cash card.. usually its a half minute affair.. lydat still offence?

Its called IMT(incident management team).. Primary duties are attending accident/breakdown on expressways and to ensure back smooth flow of traffic asap.. I used to b one.. hahahaha

their job is to catch ppl stopping at the road shoulder waiting for the erp to goes off.

 

and i rather liked their presence there because they are deterrant to ppl who drive cars and abruptly stop in the road and cos other biker to hit onto them!

they are just certis cisco traffic marshals. seriously i don find a need for them.

why cant let tp handle the road? too lazy or what? with more private security firms taking care of places..i don see a need for policemen soon.

 

what do u know about tp? too lazy? how about u try to be one of them and see if u'll eat ur own words... juz for ur information, vehicle population has increased drastically and yet manpower has been decreasing rapidly for singapore police force.

Typical Singaporeans lah .. complain about policemen .. but when they are desperate and need help, first thing to do is to call police. Everything also call police. But given any chance to complain, they will complain like there's no tomorrow, take stupid photos and post onto STORM. This is the reason why less and less people want to join or want to stay in the force. I'm lucky that I'm only need to put on the uniform for 14 days per year.

 

 

PS: I'm not saying that all policemen are angels. There are black sheeps too. But please be fair to the rest of them who are trying to carry out their duties.
