Warning to All HONDA S4 owners & Riders Who go across the causeway to JB for shopping etc - If you have to leave your bike parked unattended for even 15 minutes please padlock your wheels and your steering lock.

Just remember yours (no matter how old) is the most popular and populous model and WILL get stolen.

Just yesterday My sons S4 was taken from a busy motorcycle park - after being left for Just 15 mins unattended but locked.

There appears to be a syndicate that specialises in this model to cannabalise for spares to fix those going across for their servicing / repairs.

I was thinking seriously of getting a lorry and going around Singapore pick up all johore reg bikes and export by container to 3rd world country as donation. That way the other side wake up and get their police do something about crime rate over there.

hihi bro silverstein, u got a super4 too =) i just pass my 2a on 14th got myself a vtec1.

i only know how to answer ur Q2: ur chain is either too old or too stretched to be tighten, or ur spocket teeth uneven.

Posted

i can't see my oil level at the small window even when i cleaned it and at upright position. the engine is quite hot too.. but i didn't see engine oil leakage. i was told the engine oil is changed on 5th dec. Ah an one more thing, the neutral gear is freaking hard to engage. every traffic light i have hold clutch gear1.

yo, i passed it in around 2 weeks time. is ur neutral gear hard to engaged as mine? or is there something wrong with my engine running on low engine oil??

Edited: i just sms the ex-owner, he add 3.5l of engine oil (maybe thats y i can't see the oil level)?? will too much engine oil do harm to the engine? the Clutch housing n plate is changed in Dec 06, y neutral so hard to engaged??

upright then start engine. u can see the eo level. try adjusting clutch cable, if problem still the same, most likely clutch plates gone.

in sg, sound fast look fast is enough. run fast fine fast die fast.

But the ex-owner changed the plates in dec 06 and he nvr ram his bike and ride more then 100km/h... how much izzit to change the clutch plates? and vtec1 do not have reserve switch? .. then when do we know it is using reserve?

u believe him? maybe he do burnout u also duno. clutch plates can last pretty long. how much mileage he clocked? when reserve, the bars will start running.

i am not sure he clocked how much mileage after he changed his clutch plates. how do we adjust the clutch cable?

loosen the lock nut and turn the adjuster. can adjust at the top or bottom.

i just read that ur ex owner added 3.5l of eo. maybe this is the cause. too much eo is not gd.

mmm... so i have to sent to mechanic to let off some eo? the adjuster turn clockwise or anti clockwise (sitting on the bike) to bring the biting point closer or further to help with the neutral thing?

how sure u are inside have 3.5l? turn towards u.

mmm.. first i can't find the eo level, then i msg him when he changed eo and how much. then once he told me 3.5l i checked the window with laser pointer, the eo is over the max limit in the window and over can't even see the eo level when bike tilted. so more eo will cause damage?

since u so worry, change the eo. imo too much eo might cause damage hence is better to stick to the recommend level.
