I had the problem sometime back. It's because my friend's hand itchy, and he meddled with my air/fuel intake knob. This can be easily seen through the small gap of the plastic fairings, on the right side, sightly above the engine mounting.

Not enough air to mix with the amount of fuel needed will tend to "choke" the bike. Try to adjust it or get a mechanic to do it for you. Hope this helps..

i'll try that, sounds good to me. n ur id is very familiar, u join hwz too?

and to IC, ur name too long. That mechanic was alright but, yea he did not offer to help le. i'll try Bunta's method first.

hi all wave rider, i m currently riding Phantom 200, thinking of changing to wave. and what is wave R and wave S?? i meant the different?? both got new bike rite?? (FY plate). and how far can full tank go for wave, for phantom full tank about $11-$12 can go +-300km.

and one more thing, how is the servicing?? air filter, oil filter, Engine oil 2T or 4T?

thanks for viewing and replying my post.

wooaaa.... hey pal, since u admit that u are a noob, it's best to let your mechanic do the job, else the wrong settings may be a lot worst than what u are experiencing now....

Maybe during your next visit to the bike shop, u can ask at the same time...

Ok, for your info, the spring knob is on the right side. It's visible thru the small openings of the plastic fairings. adjust at your own risk though...

i think sell to the shop means a big loss, unless upgrading, then might have a better deal. if sell outside, can get more. sell to the shop 1yr wave, 2k is most likely.
