well, my new mechanic seems to be charging me a lot then. i guess he asks for 95 for tt900 with rims 155. so that's too much huh? and Cabstar Semi synthetic also charge me 12.50, Beware of the Woodlands Loop Blk 22 shop.

Anyone with an idea of Honest Bike Service Shop? Tried the Balestier with a fren, David's one. seems ok, but too far for me. so tried woodlands one, now like so much mark up. cheating on me.

$95 for the tyre is too much. Rims sounds ok but depends on what rims he give u. I paid $70 for the tyre and $160 for the rims. My rims are the full black Daiichi 6 spokes.Looks like the original honda rims but its black.

well said. For the info of some ppl, semi-syn oil is more than enough for our bikes and unless u are whacking yr bike every moment that u are on the bike.

And, semi-syn costs less than fully-syn, and u can afford to change at a more regular interval than u can on fully-syns...

Ya I wacked my bike everyday. If u r saying dat semi synthetic is more expensive then i think it's nearly about the same leh. ONly a bit more the price. Like Castrol David BeckHam is $12 semi syn. Then Fully Synthetic BlackGold is $16 only. So $4 more only leh?

no, i mean semi are cheaper can save u quite a lot on the long run, and u can afford to change at a faster rate compared to fully syns bcos of the price difference..

For every wave rider's info. I changed my bike's engine oil on my own. I buy TOTAL semi-syns (15w50) from Carrefour Plaza Singapura or Suntec City. 1 bottle costs me $4.70 and it costs way cheaper than what I have been using ( Motul 300v ). I can afford to change every 2000km instead of my previous 3000km interval..

Have tried dat TOTAL engine oil 15W50 B4 in my Wave. My opinion? TOTAL=TOTALLY LOUSY. Very rough. Prefer Castrol better. Good things always comes with a good price.

I don't find it rough, and I'm not revving my bike every now and then, so maybe I can't tell the difference. The oil's viscosity may be on the high side, maybe that's where the roughness comes in.

Anyway, it's still down to individual preferences..

I'm here just to share this info with fellow riders and typically those who are budget constrained a budget brand of engine oil. :cheer:

well it's very cheap then. i am paying 12.50 for Cabstar semi syn oil. Darn, i am not going back there again. but how do u dispose the dirty oil? they even recommend me to change every 1.5 or 1.8k some more. Darn.

Wavei is more fuel efficient, but the amount of fuel u save from a WaveS is at most a few cents only, not very significant.

Not much differences between the 2 models. There are previous posts in this thread discussing about the differences between the 2 models. Welcome to the community !

i can confirm wave - i is 60km/l no matter how much u speed. that's very efficient i guess. the S is 40 to 60 depends on how u ride. do ur own maths.

Bunta Bro.

got my Honda Rims and Battlax Tyres, nice feel. Getting taller bike and tighter grip on the road. Worth the money.

My kaki rides a "S" and i ride "I",

"I" is more fuel efficient.(more than 60km per litre)

"I" throttle is very smooth compared to S.

"I" has no carb so no need to service wash carb.

Top speed is the same for both.

If holiday in Thailand go buy the ECU chip mod, mini turbo system and so called "power-commander".

i got a referral, that's y may be i got cheap. about 350. but to think all shops around sillypore charges 200 for original Honda Rim ( black or white ), both available. and Bridge Stone Battlax costs about 75 a tyre. it's a nice deal considering the tubeless heads are free and installation is bundled. If u can consider 350 a deal, pm me. I am not very sure can be less or not. but I know the mechanic wants to clear stock and his work is quite reliable.

honda rims are ex, but they are the best !! ( Cos I'm also using them  )

anyway, good for you dude ! Good tyres come at a price as mentioned by some forumers here. I'm sure u won't regret buying the Battlaxes. :thumb:

got lah, the TT900GP loh, but more ex compared to the Thai-made. My friend has tried both kinds, and he says that only difference is that the GP grips slightly better in the wet, other wise, no difference
