anyone know what box to fit to wave ? think of getting one.. can anyone state me a gd price and the shop IN SINGAPORE so i won't get chop off when buying..

spend that few bucks for them to take it out then u tighten it back yrself or smth lor..so that nxt time wont so tight liao?

 

those posh covers mostly metal bah...a normal plastic cover would probably melt under the heat....

depends on what size of box u wan?

comes in different litres..

currently having a 33litre givi on mine

 

s'pore motordiams with lower prices is those few liao lor..LAB, etc

 

actually if u dont mind..can consider 2ndh and box or smth...

but muz get those already w/ the metal rack + base plate one type lar

the 33 litre cannot only hold one and a half helmet, meaning that you can only put 1 helmet and other minor stuff. get the 42 litre one if you want to put 2 helmets. the bike shop told me that too big a box will make the bike unstable.

yea, i only hope it can fits my helmet and some other small stuff like passport, white card and parking coupon. Neway, do u guys hand ur helmet if dun have basket ? I mean, there is hook in front of the seat side but is there anyway u can hang it sumwhere behind like kr ??

sorry for this nowhere person of me to pop out here.

actually, I am currently riding a CBR400RRR.

But due to the fact that my bike has been giving me problems n as a NSF,

i am starting to fill the stress on my financial side.

Might be downgrading to a wave soon.

might need some knowledge abt this bike.

sorry as the front few pages are too long and tedious to read.

 

Hope to join u all in the near future in 1 or 2 mths time.....

anyway, I was the same like u.. i rode before a VFR400... enough to say, it gave me problems till I and my wallet both vomit blood... so, bo pian, downgrade to a RED wave125..

 

So far, it's not my favourite bike, but it's very easy on the wallet, but if u like power when u're riding 2A bikes, changing to this might get u a bit of unusual " lack of power " feeling.. maintainence is really cheap.. u can ask around...overall, welcome to the family of Waves...

hmz then i suppose a 33litre box would be more than sufficient for u then

 

squeezed before helmet x 01 + wet raincoat x 01 set inside moi box + some other stuff like jelly fragrance etc...haha no prob at all

 

dont tink it's possible to fix any helmet hooks at the back of bike w/o doing any modifications lar...maybe can consider replace the original rear bracket then perhaps add in a helmet hook?

 

however..adding a box would void this option cause the bracket will have to make way for the box rack...

 

if u got no place to hang yr extra helmet...perhaps can consider using the original hlemet hooks at the front of the seat then u swing the helmet so that the helmet will be between yr legs when u ride...and oh....that's provided u dont have a basket there like me...

when u buying the engine cover just make sure its 'Posh'.Ive got a friend whose engine cover color came off n it rust! Upon taking a closer look realise that it's not 'Posh', it's 'Pose'

if take out the screw from the engine cover will there be any leakage of engine oil or u just remove the engine cover and relace only.....i dun dare to take out leh....cos wait i scared the engine oil come out....

no, the engine oil does not come out from there. the clutch housing is located in that area. however, it cannot be removed by those common screwdrivers.

yea sure.. i think im gonna put the 33L one... But dunno how much .. u guys who put 33L know anywhere to buy and fix with bracket as well ??? $70 ?

i got some problem with my bike.....can someone pls help....

today i tried to on the ignition key but then there's no light on the meter but when i used the kick start....can somehow start but then die off in a while.....when i rev the bike got light on the meter but then later die off again......electric start totally cannot work.....so izzit the battery is dead or the rectifier got problem and how much does the repair cost......thanks for replys....

most likely is battery flat.. ask urself when u got this battery, cos u say kick start a while then die off cannot be rectifier, anyway, seldom hear wave rectifier got problem...

 

1 suggestion, hope it helps, u kick start, then rev a bit to maintain the engine idling, don't let it die off... then hold it for a while, see if it can charge up the batt..

Nearly same as my problems. Was riding on E-way.

 

Suddently My Wave,

No meter. No gear indication. No signal. No Horn. No electric start.

 

Only have Front Headlight and Rear light.

 

Next day, open choke, kick start like hell.

To bike shop, change fuse. Only 50cents.

 

Anyway, I have extra fuse. Come my place to get it.

anyway mine is a 38L box which i can squeeze in 2 open face helmet plus those small small things. ain't too big and looks ok to me. so if u considering bring 2 helmets out regularly maybe can have this option.

 

I got it with my bike and it cost me $100.

hi....u were saying that when i kick start and rev the engine for a while to charge the batt....is it possible this way.....cos i did tried but when i release my throttle then confirm engine will die off leh.....sianz.....

must rev the bike then got light....once the meter light gone then the engine die off already......and my friend did mentioned that when start the bike muz off the headlight or else will eat up the batt....izzit true....

seems to me

engine die off and lights not functioning r 2 separate probs

 

engine die off could either be due to 3 reasons bah

1. insufficient/no fuel

2. insufficient air into the system

3. spark plug weak or engine oil insufficient

 

lights not functioning

for yr case...seems like yr batt is super weak liao...weak until it's recharging abilities is almost gone liao...perhaps can go try change a new battery (wont cost u that much even for a dry cell) or maybe if u happen to be a more hands-on person..can try using a multimeter c how much volt yr batt produce when yr bike is off?
