Public Works In December

Hi there. Notice recently damn many public works all over Singapore. There are at least 4 cable laying holes dug by our friendly PWD at CCK. Some even close half of the entrance to the carpark, some occupy two lanes. The stretch along Geylang seems no end to the work! Is PWD trying to kill ppl, when all muddy and rainy, still dig holes everywhere?

They don't dig holes into the ground unless absolutely necessary. It is as much a hassle to them to ensure safety of the public as to the public having to avoid the works area. Plus the workers themselves also are in danger in the rain and lightning, right?

 

Without them, you think your toilet will drain properly all the time, and your cable TV / internet / land line phone will function? Just a small temporary inconvenience, endure lah.

Lift upgrading! Trucks, dust, noise, cordoned-off areas sometimes encompassing all bike lots, and all the nice elements that make our cozy place a ghetto.
