:gun: ... come, come, come... give me your hamaya... and I'll show you how an R1 is ridden!! You can't even catch me when I'm on a S4 in NSH... If I can ride Mag's bike, I can ride yours too (can someone fetch me a stool?) ... question is whether I want or not... :box:

come to think of it, I have not ridden any other sports bike than FiFi. Busa and Beemer "S" bikes are not pure sports, so not counted.

wah so direct ah :cheeky: I feel the tyre usage might be cause by the riding style too i.e. hard braking...Do u think the softness of the suspension will affect how long the tyre last as well?? I might be wrong. What you guys think?? o_O

Tyre pressure? Did you constantly maintain it at the optimum PSI?

If not then could be the 'load to bike' ratio liao :cheeky:

:box: :box:

I think its because I never maintain the PSI of the tyres.. Pump once every 5 weeks or so onli.. What to do? Sianzz liao tyre got one patch..

tires arh...

no comment, as long dun crash with ur tires is good tires.... even my tyres is out of shape for a peroid of time... i did not crash....so if your tires is out of shape.....den better ride slower and more careful......

what i have learn in stamford tyres about tires compound....

check ur air pressure every 2 weeks, as air escape throught micro holes, this will also maximise the lifespan of your tires.

tyres life span 15,000 km or 3years...whichever comes first.

warm up ur tires before playing corner....hard compound will normally take 20 mins, soft compound 10 mins.

Do take note of the side profile of tires.... example 210/55/17

55 is the side wall sizing.... the higher it is... the more comfy it is.... but less grip...

so if u wan to play corner, look for tyres with lower profile like 210/40/17(example) more grip and lesser life span.

i also dun know what tires i am using but bridgestone.... its good... just dun use dunlop! yucks!

3. BT020 - Excellent mileage. 15,000- 20,000KM.

I did abt 14,000km, 75/25 highway with 2 trips, (including C to C), quite a no of high speed blast and hard acceleration. Had to change cause hit a nail and patch kept leaking, but good for another few thousand km.

Touring = 4.5; Tyres are stable for high speed and good grip on dry weather. Wear is more substantial when blasting at high speed.

Street Sport = 3.5; Grip and Cornering is gd, could never fully use the whole contour of the tyre. Definitely better than BT021 anytime. (Never tried soft compounds or sport tyres so cant compare the difference)

Value for $$ = 4; It was one of the cheaper tyre with more mileage for rear 190 tyres. But I think already no longer in production.

4. Micheline Pilot Sport - Mileage = tba. Touring = tba; Street Sport = tba; value for $$ = (Zai pls comment)

5. Micheline Pilot Power - Mileage = tba. Touring = tba; Street Sport = tba; value for $$ = 2(Chao to comment)
