Attention passengers taking the Subaru for Fraser Hill trip this Sat!

 

This is your Captain speaking,

 

Given the fall-in timing of 0530 am at PG Esso on Saturday morning, I shall be reaching Kelvin's place at 0415am to pick-up all my passengers. Rico please ride to Kelvin's place then. Setting off to Tuas checkpoint at 0430am via CTE/PIE.

 

Please try to be punctual as I don't want to be late for the main party gathering time.

 

Any changes in plans will be informed via SMS.

 

Rico and Kelvin, please wear riding gears like jeans and T-shirts and proper shoes just in case we need spare riders.

 

Hope we can have a good and safe trip.

** To encourage comminuty bonding, build a cohesive and resilient society, we shall all be sharing a 3 room apartment.**

 

Time: 0200 meet at GP ESSO North. A short briefing will be held 2.15am. 2.30am move off. In other words, you should come by 2.10am to top-up petrol, make last bike and gear check.

If possible, no latecomers please..rendezvous at Pagoh if you are really late but pls still ride carefully..

have u considered lower scramblers like ktm2 shorty, yammie tw200, suzie dr200, horny xr200, xr125 etc? for dual sport tourers u got vara125....

 

if wan more power then muz go for transalp 400/650, dominator 650, Vstrorm 650 leh.... hmm wat else arh?

 

anyway, there might be aftermarket lowering linkages available for taller dual-sport tourers like AT, GS... keep u updated

Definitely 650cc. Either V-Strom or Transalp. Not sure of Dominator and XR650 though. Dakar is out of my reach.

 

Did some research on Transalp. Look easy to ride, but power sucks. Runs on carb. Spokes rim.

V-Strom's power's better and sports rim. Fuel injection and seem to be more well-favored.

You guys can sleep in the car, no worries. I can drive the whole time there unless I really very tired. I will take half day leave on Friday to rest at home before waking up for the trip.

on the contrary, bikes with single carb are preferred by most because of their simplicity ie. easy to rectify if drowned engine..... also, conventional forks and spoke rims can take the thrashing of the rough terrains better.

 

anyway, welcome to the dark side, chao, where the journey continues when the tarmac ends :thumb:
