I thought a thought. But the thought I thought wasn't the thought I thought I thought. If the thought I thought I thought had been the thought I thought, I wouldn't have thought so much.

Yes, thanks.. i followed their thread abt it..that's when the idea of buying givi 21L box comes..instead of other boxes..i dont want it to be bulky and big which can makes my bike wider..i'm also looking for H&B, donno wat type, which i saw on a vara 1k..not that bulky though..but the shape is so squarish not like the givi which i think will affect the aerodynamic too much..but again, H&B is nice :cheeky:

so i donno which one will suit best..big size would be good, but not too big of course as kinda not good for squeezing through traffic..abt e aerodynamic, i noe by putting box it spoil e aero already..so, see lar which one suits nice and doesn't affect much the stability of e bike...like u mention if too big and e weight is not distributed well can affect e cornering...

btw, i checked at e corbin website, its around 1700 ley...so sg should be around 3k including shipment...where sia sell until 4k?:faint: but e cons is, its only 19.5L...so small and e price is sooo big...:giddy:

Big things(price) comes in small packaging :cheeky:

Depends what you want the box to do: touring/trips or commuting?

Touring/Trips you'd probably need larger boxes. Squeezing traffic will be less frequent.

Commuting: slimmer boxes will suffice the traffic condition in Singapore.

Third option - buy a cub for 1.4K... will be same price as the rack and boxes :cheeky:

if u do the math, petrol + toll + travelling= better pump sg

example:

sg $1=RM 2.30

petrol = RM 3.50 ($1.52)

toll = RM 1.60($0.70) +$0.70

travel to simei (50km) = $3.30

12.86 x $1.52 +$1.40+$3.30 = $24.25

i only save $3.14 if i pump sg RON95

ehm... if compare than more factors shd be involve..

toll for sgp side n m'sia side. 2-way..so total toll shd be ard $2.80.

travel to simei 50km, how abt from simei (or wherever you are) to tuas?

wear & tear of bike?

on the brighter side,

you could have pump 17+L instead of 12.86L if calculate petrol well enuff.

cheap ciggy if smokes (or buy for others).

push bike/rider to limit like Mr 290....priceless

Haiz... :sian: I've done the calculation, with the increase M'sia petrol prices, I'd only save S$6 each pump (19L each time incl of toll) as compared to SG petrol. Factoring the wear-tear, I think pump SG better.

The thing is, the larger the quantity, the more you save. Even 19L the savings is not very significant.

WORSE! I just change 200RM y'day hoping to go pump tonite... scrap idea liao!

I foresee that huge changes in the political scene in M'sia with all these price increases for petrol, food, electrical tariffs, etc... A lot of M'sian complaining liao regarding all these changes...

Also I also think less Singaporeans will go in to top up and buy essentials, the customs will be less jammed in the future. Economy and tourism will slow down for the JB state and other tourists places.

Singapore petrol companies will end up earning more as less people pumping in M'sia and buying stuffs from there...

With higher costs of living, the general masses will have a harder time making ends meet, higher crime rates expected in time to come. Those in uniforms will try to extort more kopi luis from the general public...

All in all, all this increase in petrol prices worldwide is caused by those petrol exporting countries in the Middle East. They are getting ever richer at the expense of chaos and misery of the rest of the world.

If not controlled properly, the situation might spiral off to famine and civil war for some countries...

We shall see how all these events unfold in time to come...

Who's your Daddy?!?

Those people who are least hit by all these price hikes are the ones who take public transport to work and to play, don't smoke and drink, don't own their private transport.

They just pay a bit more for Buses, MRTs or Taxis rides, rice, utilities...

People say to me, 'Roy! You rich leh drive car one!'

I will always reply them: 'No leh! You guys then rich, no need to feed car!'

For the worldwide prob,is mainly because of Nigeria, Iraq and Iran in addition to some other countries which having prob in their production rate due to their labour force and etc which cause their rate to decrease instead of increase...

"Singapore petrol companies will end up earning more as less people pumping in M'sia and buying stuffs from there... "

and do u think by that, those stations will give more discount?

and they expecting all e citizens to go public and as u can see, their transportation is very crowded and :giddy:.....

and with all their 24hr bus lane in force, frequent timing and what not, it still doesn't make the public as a convenient way to commute...:sian:
